Jesus wants you. He knows that "your best" is not enough. Only His best is enough--this should show you two things

1) Jesus gets the Name, the Honor, the Glory that the Father purposes for Him from the beginning.
2) His creation (us, you and me--wretched sinners that we are) get to share in His reward through our faith/trust in Him.

Faith in Christ will have an effect on your works, they might even be good works, but they can never be "good enough". Don't focus on your sin, your shortcomings, focus on Him and let Him work in you, trusting that He saves those who have faith in Him and His work rather than their own deeds.

I feel that I'm probably going to Hell.

Yet I don't feel afraid anymore. It used to bring me to tears but not for the past day.

I'm still going to try to follow Jesus and do as God commands, to the amount that I can, but even then I don't think I'll go to heaven.

I can't help but feel my best isn't good enough.

Salvation is not based in feelings, but in the truth of Jesus Christ.

Romans 3:10-12 as it is written: "None is righteous, no, not one; (11) no one understands; no one seeks for God. (12) All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one."

Romans 3:20-28 For by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin. (21) But now the righteousness of God has been manifested apart from the law, although the Law and the Prophets bear witness to it— (22) the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all who believe. For there is no distinction: (23) for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, (24) and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, (25) whom God put forward as a propitiation by his blood, to be received by faith. This was to show God's righteousness, because in his divine forbearance he had passed over former sins. (26) It was to show his righteousness at the present time, so that he might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus. (27) Then what becomes of our boasting? It is excluded. By what kind of law? By a law of works? No, but by the law of faith. (28) For we hold that one is justified by faith apart from works of the law.

Ephesians 2:1-10 And you were dead in the trespasses and sins (2) in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience— (3) among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind. (4) But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, (5) even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— (6) and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, (7) so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. (8) For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, (9) not a result of works, so that no one may boast. (10) For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

John 3:16-21 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. (17) For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. (18) Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. (19) And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. (20) For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. (21) But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God."

I can't help but feel my best isn't good enough.

Paul wrote the grace verses just for you, and for all of us too of course!

"8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—
9 not by works, so that no one can boast.
10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." -- Ephesians chapter 2

In other words, if you truly believe in Christ risen, this is what saves you!

And that belief will lead you in the right direction.

You aren't already perfect. We are not already perfect.

Instead, we are "following" Him. We keep our focus on Him, our Teacher and guide, and we follow Him.

Apart from Him, we cannot do things right.

But abiding in Him, remaining in His Words (in the gospels) -- remembering His words, taking them to heart, reading them again, soaking them in -- we can follow Him. (John chapter 15)

It's not about sin everyone sins.
1 Peter chapter 4 verse 8
Love covers many sins.
If you love, your all set, and your born of God read 1 John chapter 4
No one ever obeyed the law except Christ, and if you sin once you've committed every sin.
It's all about love.

And yet, though Jesus died for our sins and it's a free gift that we receive as long as we believe, it says in scripture that few that call Him Lord will go to Heaven...
The only unforgivable sin is the sin of unbelief, that you refused the Holy Spirit, to not accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior. People can speak in His name and not truly believe themselves ! Not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, where He is part of your life. IE you do the works but not live the life 'with Him' in your heart.

Additionally when you read scripture it's good to understand who they are speaking to, when is it being spoken , what specifically is being spoken of, why it is being said and where. Because all the bible is written for you but not all of it is being written to you. I am a gentile, not a Jew, I'm living in the Grace age after the cross for instance.

I have more videos I can direct you to if that last one helped at all. Let me know.

It seems though that I don't really have any works yet. There is some change about me but I still feel that I'm the same.

Works doesn't have to be going out on a mission field. The good kind follow salvation and it may just be as simple as you are given this sense to read the bible , go visit an old aunt and low and behold you want to share with her . That's just an example. But some people take it on themselves to go teaching in the name of Jesus but they have no personal relationship with Him.. They are doing works without salvation. No if you are born again, in due time the Spirit will direct your path. And He can't use you very well if you don't know anything yet ( that is not an insult, we all start someplace).

What do you feel is different about you ?

One of your "works" is to reach out to others, to witness, to testify. You can do that on CF, in your fellowship, at the grocery store, on the telephone, Facebook, among family and friends. Open your Bible, read Romans and John.

Except I am shy, a new believer and I have yet to read the whole gospel.

I would like to read all of it but I also have other stuff to get done. Also I'm afraid of being lazy.

I want to please God instead of myself. I have stopped watching youtube videos or playing video games that don't have to do with God. (But I still sorta miss it...) And I am helping out around the house more.

Oh God can so use that . This is your challenge then, to pray to Jesus about these things. You might mysteriously find that all you just mentioned starts to change.

See, those are good signs. You need some bible education, you get that with more of those videos like I shared with you and reading your bible. Maybe join a local bible study. In time the Holy Spirit can use you. I can speak from personal experience. I was shy too ( note "was"), to stand and talk officially in any capacity at all in front of a group of people my face would turn beet red, I could feel the heat rise . After salvation and after bible study I found myself in front of the body giving intro's for the pastor, sharing testimonies etc. Some people thought I was a visiting Pastor when I first showed up doing this in a different church. That is not me, that is Jesus Christ at work in me sister ! Give it time, you may not do that but you might be very happy to share one on one some day.

This is not an easy concept, and after having watched a number of NDE videos about Hell, it seems the bulk of humanity are destined to the pit.
But surely this cannot be the case, not from a God that wants us to believe in him and have faith.

Well the church I plan to go to doesn't seem to offer bible studies (Or I think they only have it once a month). Is it possible to go to the bible studies of another church?

Pray on that too !

FWIW, I belonged to two bible studies at once. One from my regular Greater Grace church and a morning men's bible study at another church two towns over from where I live. I have since dropped the men's study to more align with Greater Grace, which is my main church and world wide outreach. but someone had invited me to that men's study and I found it to be good for several months .. Make sure you are joining a good bible based church and you will get lessons during service.

How will I know if it's a good bible-based church? What's the difference between a bible-based church and a non-bible based one?

A good bible based church does readings and sermons based right out of the open bible. They connect the dots, they use references that tie verses in various parts of the bible together. They lean on the Doctrine of Jesus Christ . They make the bible pertinent in our own times and alive in our lives.
