Just a question MS. If you knew or felt strongly that Jesus was coming soon for His bride, would you change your lifestyle and make yourself ready?

No, my lifestyle has also already changed. When I think of someone who isn't ready .. I imagine someone like the servant in the Bible who says "my master is gone for long" and begins smiting the other servants and getting drunk. Its my goal to finish reading the Bible though, pray more often, etc. 2 things that will increase my readiness you could say. My life is organized chaos besides that

I feel a crushing feeling/sorrow when I think about Jesus coming back sometimes because of the people who deny Christ. Family, peers, and the world in general. I believe the Bible says what is says ... and it means terrible things for them

I had a dream once (not a vision or anything) that Jesus came back and I was very happy, like elated :) In my heart and spirit I want Him to come back, but it's others I don't like thinking about

Dude, please seek help right now. Find yourself a Pastor or someone that can give you godly counsel. Suicide is not the answer! In a few hours people will be going to churches all around this world to celebrate Jesus and what He has done for us. Be brave enough to pull one of the leaders aside and share with them what you are going through.

no no no . . . nothing like that at all . . . I am just saying life is short. Even if Jesus doesn't come back in the next 100 years, we will have moved on to be with him long before. So, we should be ready as if he were coming back in our lifetime. :) Thank you both for caring.

Well it's a lack of belief for many people that will end up being here. You see the evidence amongst many on CF who are in doubt of His return.

I feel a crushing feeling/sorrow when I think about Jesus coming back sometimes because of the people who deny Christ. Family, peers, and the world in general. I believe the Bible says what is says ... and it means terrible things for them

I use to think that too and thought Daniel's 70th week was all negative and terrible from hearing about all the disasters and deaths that will occur on earth. It's good that you have compassion for others too but there is a good side to all this that far out weights the negatives. During the tribulation, God will give the holy spirit to everyone (Acts 2:17, Joel 2:28), including all the Jews (Jeremiah 31:33, Hebrews 8:10). Everyone will have a relationship with God through the holy spirit and everyone will know God personally through His spirit (Jeremiah 31:34, Hebrews 8:11). It's a time of great revival. More people will come to God and accept Christ as their savior more than anytime in the past during a 7 year period.

You know when Jesus said "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come" Matthew 24:14, He was actually referring to these items below.

During His ministry 2000 years ago, He was only able to reach a small number of people who went to listen to Him in person, 5000 at most. At the beginning of the tribulation, the two witnesses will come and do the same things Jesus did but minister to the entire world via cell phones, tablets and other mobile devices. People will be able witness them performing miracles live from around the world, hearing their testimonies and be convinced, finally turning to God with repentance.

* Jesus' ministry lasted 3.5 years, the 2 witnesses will testify for 3.5 years, Revelation 11:3.

* Jesus performed signs and miracles, they will also performs signs and miracles, Revelation 11:6.

* Jesus turned many to God, they will also turn many to God. Matthew 24:23-26 (looking for Jesus and His return).

* The world hated Jesus and wanted Him dead, John 15:18-19. People will also hate the two witnesses and will try to kill them, Revelation 11:5, 10.

* Jesus died after 3.5 years, they will die after 3.5 years.

* Many witnessed Jesus' death, many will witness their death, Revelation 11:8-9.

* Jesus resurrected after 3.5 days, they will also resurrect after 3.5 days, Revelation 11:8-11.

* People witness Jesus ascend into heaven, Acts 1:9-11, people will see them ascend into heaven, Revelation 11:12.

* The earth shook when Jesus died, Matthew 27:51, an earthquake will occur when they die, Revelation 11:13.

* After Jesus' death, the holy spirit was later poured out on all who saw and believed. With a little help from modern technology, people around the world will see and believe the two witnesses, and God will pour out the holy spirit upon them, Joel 2:28-31.

In summary, this event will save many people from going to hell after they pass away. The tribulation they will go through won't be pleasant but they will ultimately be saved.

Those who don't make it will be on my mind too and we will get a chance to pray for them all before it happens, Revelation 8:1-4. Pray especially for the babies born during the tribulation that did not choose to be there when it happens, Matthew 24:19. It will be very bad for some as they will starve to death, Ezekiel 5:10.

I answered you via PM. I don't want to derail the thread much more. Thanks for the exegesis
