I hope you've heard the news by now.  I just logged on the Internet and saw that Elizabeth Smart, the teenager who was abducted at gunpoint last June, was found alive!

First of all, no one knows if she was abducted or ran away. The gun stuff is a tabloid story since no one knows.............
Second, she was walking down the street in her home town when found.
Third she was disguised with a wig - etc............

It will be interesting to hear the real story. I'm not saying foul play was not involved, I am saying we don't really know anything remotely close to the truth yet...........................

Hey d dan my mailman said the same thing !! He thinks there is somehtinf fishy about the whole story. why wasn t she trying to get away--fear of captors ? drugged ? there is more to this story then we know now.

Regarding the issue of why she might not have tried to get away if she had a chance, it wouldn't surprise me if the kidnappers threatened to harm Elizabeth's family members.

i heard on the today show that the person who kidnapped her though he was God and brainwashed her, or possibly used drugs. 

I love hearing happy stories like this, you just don't hear about this uplifting stuff very often.

Also in need of prayers would be any other victims of the kidnapper, Mitchell.  It's stated that he's a self-proclaimed polygamist.  Does that mean he's harmed other girls? 

God help us all from the ravages of men like that.
