The anxiety of what I have done is weighing on me and making me sick with fear and despair. I am so afraid that Hell is my unavoidable future. Hebrews 6 and Hebrews 10 and Proverbs 1 stress me. I mean there is the prodigal son but what differentiates a forgivable prodigal from Hebrews 6? Please pray for God to have mercy on me and to save me even after all that I have done. I posted some detail in this blog.

Brother, whatever you did repent from that sin and bring it to Jesus, pray and ask Him for forgiveness so your soul may be cleansed by putting your sin on the Holy cross. I will pray for your healing, brother.

Cry out to Him loudly and ask for mercy. Ask to be forgiven and ask for His guidance. Admit that you cannot do this without Him and praise His name. Also you need to remove all sources of temptation so you may walk more peacefully. You may still be tempted but that is a test to see if you are honest in your walk.

May the Lord bless you, brother in Jesus name. Amen.

You are still seeking. Still feeling moved to seek God. You still have God. You are going to be ok. Confess the sins to the Lord, seek forgiveness and BELIEVE you are forgiven. If you were lost, as you think you are, you wouldn't even care to come here and talk it out. You are so loved by Him. God bless you. :)

The fear you have should be a huge indicator that the enemy is the one who is messing with your thoughts and mind. God will correct you with peace and with the Word. He will not bring you fear.

God is love and peace
The enemy is fear and torment

Praying for you nightly.
Blessings

Dear Deerglow,
We have all, like Jacob, wrestled with our sin and wrestled with God. Maybe others besides Jacob even knocked their hip out of alignment in the process of grappling with God. It all comes down to the basic understanding of how very good and long-suffering God is towards us. Jacob knew it and kept crying out bless me, bless me, bless me. God strives with all of us, as He says in Genesis 6:3 and he desire us to seek Him out too Acts 17:25-28. He even took the cross for us and is at work to perfect us if we but submit ourselves to Him. Do not be discouraged then by His rebuke or His chastisement because He does it out of love for you. It is to our profit that we are corrected in the here and now and grow in the grace of the Lord before we reach those heavenly fields or walk those golden streets. The joy of the Lord is our strength in this world if we but see His undying love for us in the crucifixion and resurrection.

It is always so important to understand God's Word in its entire context. This is true for the Book of Hebrews as well. Let's examine the 12th chapter which is talking about the Bride of Christ throughout time. The author begins by providing us with many examples throughout the Bible of overcoming faith that should lift and encourage us.
It is not that the author is saying we will not sin for he speaks of the sin that does so easily beset us in Hebrews 12:1 but he does speak of striving against sin. How do we do that? We do it with God.

Hebrews 12 The Race of Faith said:
1 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 For consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls. 4 You have not yet resisted to bloodshed, striving against sin. 5 And you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons:
“My son, do not despise the chastening of the LORD, Nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him; 6 For whom the LORD loves He chastens, And scourges every son whom He receives.”
7 If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten? 8 But if you are without chastening, of which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate and not sons. 9 Furthermore, we have had human fathers who corrected us, and we paid them respect. Shall we not much more readily be in subjection to the Father of spirits and live? 10 For they indeed for a few days chastened us as seemed best to them, but He for our profit, that we may be partakers of His holiness. 11 Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
So clearly the author of Hebrews does not expect that we will never sin but that we will be at war with our sin, fighting it in the power of Christ, who cleanses us from all unrighteousness. So what about those prior chapters of Hebrews that trouble you?

In Hebrews 6 he speaks that there is not an endless cycle of baptisms but one. He is speaking here of apostasy not sin. How far does one have to go into apostasy doesn't depend on your definition or mine but God's alone. I look at Revelation's Jezebel who was teaching false doctrine, which I might consider apostasy, but then I read how Christ was very patient in giving her time to repent, although she did not. The Spirit is ever patient and I always defer a person to seek out God in prayer when in doubt about their spiritual health and faith.
  • Revelation 2:20-21 "Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols. And I gave her time to repent of her sexual immorality, and she did not repent.
Going in reverse 6 chapters we are better armed to understand.
Hebrews 6:1-6 said:
Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment. And this will we do, if God permit. For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, and have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, if they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

In Hebrews 10 there is talk about sin that seems to contradict what we read in the later chapter 12 but again this appears as the sin of apostasy and an adversarial position to Christ, whereby once again they have most willfully become an enemy of Christ after having known Him in truth.
Hebrews 10:26-29 said:
For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
Guzik relates that "sinning willfully is defined in Hebrews 10:29. It speaks of someone who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace. It is a knowing, deliberate rejection of Jesus' great work for us on the cross."

My guess is you have not done this.

Matthew Henry comments on this apostasy in a very similar fashion

Matthew Henry says said:
V. Having mentioned these means of establishment, the apostle proceeds, in the close of the chapter, to enforce his exhortations to perseverance, and against apostasy, by many very weighty considerations, v. 26, 27, etc.
  • 1. From the description he gives of the sin of apostasy. It is sinning wilfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, sinning wilfully against that truth of which we have had convincing evidence. This text has been the occasion of great distress to some gracious souls; they have been ready to conclude that every wilful sin, after conviction and against knowledge, is the unpardonable sin: but this has been their infirmity and error. The sin here mentioned is a total and final apostasy, when men with a full and fixed will and resolution despise and reject Christ, the only Saviour,-despise and resist the Spirit, the only sanctifier,-and despise and renounce the gospel, the only way of salvation, and the words of eternal life; and all this after they have known, owned, and professed, the Christian religion, and continue to do so obstinately and maliciously. This is the great transgression: the apostle seems to refer to the law concerning presumptuous sinners, Num. 15:30, 31. They were to be cut off.
  • 2. From the dreadful doom of such apostates.
    • (1.) There remains no more sacrifice for such sins, no other Christ to come to save such sinners; they sin against the last resort and remedy. There were some sins under the law for which no sacrifices were provided; but yet if those who committed them did truly repent, though they might not escape temporal death, they might escape eternal destruction; for Christ would come, and make atonement. But now those under the gospel who will not accept of Christ, that they may be saved by him, have no other refuge left them.
    • (2.) There remains for them only a certain fearful looking for of judgment, v. 27. Some think this refers to the dreadful destruction of the Jewish church and state; but certainly it refers also to the utter destruction that awaits all obstinate apostates at death and judgment, when the Judge will discover a fiery indignation against them, which will devour the adversaries; they will be consigned to the devouring fire and to everlasting burnings. Of this destruction God gives some notorious sinners, while on earth, a fearful foreboding in their own consciences, a dreadful looking for it, with a despair of ever being able either to endure or escape it.
So from Hebrews 12 we know the author is not discussing sin in general, as we discussed in the beginning. There are examples we can take out of Hebrews itself as well as other places in the New Testament that highlight the difference between the sin of apostasy and the sin that so easily besets us. Christ continues to sanctify the believers despite occasional sin. That said we are not to take sin lightly but treat it as an affront to God who desires purity.

So be anxious for nothing Deerglow but dwell on the richness of the Lord's love for you as well as His patience and mercy toward all believers. So many of us have failed the Lord at one time or another and we should feel bad when we fall but more importantly appeal to Him to lift us out of those angry waves, where we can catch our wind once again. He refines every child of His and our doubts give way to faith and then victory through Him.
  1. Consider that Jesus said in Matthew 10:33 “But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven." Peter denied the Lord not once but three times. Of course it hurt like a knife in His heart as their eyes met across that courtyard. Peter had previously seen the miracles, repented, faithfully followed, even seen the glorifed Christ speaking with Moses and Elijah and heard the Father's voice yet failed. Did Jesus cast him out? No, instead He later gave him responsibility for His flock.
  2. John 21:15-17 So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?” He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.” He said to him, “Feed My lambs.” He said to him again a second time, “Simon, son of Jonah, doyou love Me?” He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I loveYou.” He said to him, “Tend My sheep.” He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you loveMe?” Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, “Do you love Me?” And he said to Him, “Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You.” Jesus said to him, “Feed My sheep.
So stop worrying if you are good enough or if you sinned too greatly to be forgiven and just give that all over to God. Dwell on His goodness and not the lack of your own for our own righteousness is as filthy rags before Him and He alone can sanctify and purify us. It is His desire to do so. If you make it about your personal righteousness you will always fail the test but if you look towards the grace and love of God you will fall in love with His great mercy towards you as the Spirit of God recreates you as the beautiful child of God He has designed you to be. In Him you will flourish as you admire His work within you and through you.

It's not about how we are doing it is about Jesus in us and adoring who He is as He reveals Himself in His Word and in every aspect of your life.
Jesus' admonition in Luke 12 to let God clothe you in His raiment said:
(and Matt. 6:19–21, 25–34 )
22 Then He said to His disciples, “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what you will put on. 23 Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing. 24 Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds? 25 And which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? 26 If you then are not able to do the least, why are you anxious for the rest? 27 Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 28 If then God so clothes the grass, which today is in the field and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will He clothe you, O you of little faith?
29 “And do not seek what you should eat or what you should drink, nor have an anxious mind. 30 For all these things the nations of the world seek after, and your Father knows that you need these things. 31 But seek the kingdom of God, and all these things shall be added to you.
32Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. 33 Sell what you have and give alms; provide yourselves money bags which do not grow old, a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches nor moth destroys. 34 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
