The Reformed are orange,
while Catholics are green.
But Lutherans don't seem to have a particular color
at least that I've ever seen.
Reformed are orange, yes, but Catholics green?? I always think of Lutherans as green, although I don't know why.

Where do you get the idea that Reformed are orange and Catholics are green?
It's an European thing. The reason the flag for Ireland is Orange and Green is to symbolize Protestants and Catholics living peacefully together.

That's why everyone wears green on St. Patty's Day. Green is for the Catholics. Protestants wear orange because of William of Orange. They like to wear it on Catholic festival days because that's the way they like to roll. St. Patrick's color traditionally was blue.

Lutherans have lots of slogans - VDMA, the Solas, they even have the Luther Rose emblem, but I've never heard of one particular color that's associated with Lutheranism.

Has anyone?

I always think of red for Anglicans, but the cross of St. George is red and most Anglican churches use some version of that emblem, which may account for why I make the connection to red.
Don't most Anglican churches also have red doors? I'm pretty sure that's not just the Episcopal Church.

Originally coming from Norway, I on some level connect Lutherans with wood or natural colours, on account the stave churches and other traditional Lutheran churches. But I don't think there's any one particular colour that stands out to me as "Lutheran". The colours used in the Luther Rose, perhaps?

I always associated the color green with Lutheranism. I suspect it's an early childhood association, the only thing I knew about Lutherans as a kid was that a local Lutheran church in my home town drove a van pooling bus to help disabled people get to church and around. It may have been green?

Some Lutheran churches also have red doors.

Notable old Catholic continental seminal Gothic cathedrals like Chartres, Notre Dame of Paris, Reims, Strasbourg, have red doors to denote of being under the protection of the Blood of Christ. Their architecture was then copied by provincial medieval Catholic-era churches Europe-wide. Some of our medieval stone churches have red doors, too. I don't think we should read too much Lutheran symbolism, if you will, to it. It's a holdover Catholic style of the era and the red ochre paint was cheap and widely available, unlike, for example, the "rich & royal" blues and purples which were rare and expensive.

Lime Green?

Depends on which branch of Lutherans we are talking about. Liberal Lutherans are a horse of a different color when contrasted with the LMS.

These misguided folks have made their own Lutheran color statement:

Seems these Lutherans are rainbow-colored.

I see where you are getting the colors from. In the world outside of Lutheranism, we are considered Protestant, so we fall under the orange for St. Patricks.
This is true but I do like Advent because it matches Luther's Rose ^_^
