Praying in Tongues

It's so great to pray in the Spirit! My English praying isn't the best, so submitting to the Holy Spirit to pray what needs to be prayed is a relief and is refreshing.

Think some of the problem is we keep trying to nail down or limit things such as "no missionary need" when Yahweh uses tongues for numerous purposes.
such as posted "I was able to leave certian sins and stuff I was doing and haven't returned since I've continued to have the experience."
A believer testified that a son of theirs was in pain and his wife prayed in both English and tongues for him. The son who was about 3 said to his mom pray in that funny way because when you do I don't hurt so much.

Still happens. In Maria Woodworth Etter Diary, she reports that on one occasion she spoke in tongues and a couple who were from Poland? was saved. Later she was told they said she spoke in their language. (I like to give page numbers but the book is about 600 pages).
Peter was filled The Holy Ghost and they saw his boldness (Acts 4:8, 13). Later they prayed and were "all" filled with The Holy Ghost and with boldness they spoke The Word Acts (4:29, 31).
Also, some criticize tongues because they don't see "fire" like on the Day of Pentecost - causes me to wonder what it looks like in the spirit based on Scripture such as Matt 3:11, Luke 3:16.

That speaking in tongues nonsense is just a bunch of gibberish, nothing more.
What such a person fails to realize is they are actually agreeing with scriptural teaching on the subject. For Paul wrote that speaking in tongues is unfruitful to the mind and if an unbeliever were to hear it, they would think we were mad!
Just grants more boldness to speak in tongues. Now that isn't to say some people have not been duped into a false tongue, I worry for those in churches that teach how to speak in tongues. What I mean are those groups that tell people to say stuff like: Shondala Hyndai and the likes until they say it so fast it is a tongue. But again, false signs do not negate real ones, in fact they verify them because you cannot have something false without something true.

Well, if it wasn't what it is there probably wouldn't be all these discussions.
R.T. Kendall thinks that more would accept the manifestations of the gifts of The Spirit if they didn't include tongues. Agree with that.
But for us that do - as you said in the OP - encourage all to pray in tongues as much as you can. Wherever you can.

the Old "its just babble" argument..., apart from just being rude and immeasurably disrespectful is also the weakest possible case someone present.
there are arguably 6900 + languages on earth with more to be discovered, plus dialects .
add to that dialects which have faded out of use and then dialects which have since formed ,,,
the experts inform us they do not fully know how many languages there are.
they come across problems such as 820 different dialects spoken among about 3.6million in the new guinia region alone.
so, Whats my point?
simple, there is not a sound you can make out if your mouth using voice tongue or lips that is not a word with meaning to some one some where on earth.
(and i didnt even mention tongues of angels)

And such people actually validate scripture. Because all know Paul says in 1 Cor 14 that tongues are unfruitful to the mind and if someone hears a tongue speaking church they will say they are out of their minds!
