Why is it in America that we only have a birthday every ten years. People would ask me how old I was and I would say 40 something. Or in my 40's. They would say: what early hehehe, middle? LATE? Yep, late 40's. Oh, ok :) Of course I would always add in as a bonus: Your only as old as you feel!

Now someone changed the 4 to a 5! I can not longer deny I am a middle aged person. :help: I could be half way though my life! Oh well, your only as old as you feel. Maybe that is why I like to hang around young people and old people. :yum: They both make you feel young. Also, young people have not had a chance to be lied to yet. Old people have figured out they were lied to and are getting it straightened out. It's everyone inbetween that you have to worry about.

I think the moral of the story is, children know the truth, and old people know the truth, but watch out for anyone inbetween. Good thing I am still young at heart :) In the eyes of God, I am a child  Thanks, JohnR7

Mark 10:15 Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it."

Well Happy Birthday JohnR7!!!!

I remember waiting to turn 16 so I could drive. Then I could not wait to be 18 I wanted to vote. Then 21 a legal adult. Then I started having children. Then I got gray hair. :D

Don't let your age bother you. What a blessing that we have made it as far as we have.

I should lend you my son. He'll ask me questions like "Do you remeber the civil war?" "Were you a hippie?" He thinks I am really old.

May God Bless you with 50 more years!!

>>What a blessing that we have made it as far as we have.

Actually, I consider it a miracle that I have made it this far. Actually, it has taken quite a few miracles to get me this far. God is good. God is more than good. He is 100 times more good than what I thought at first.

>>Then I got gray hair.

That is no problem, I like gray hair.

Proverbs 20:29
The glory of young men is their strength,
And the splendor of old men is their gray head.

Of course I would have liked to have kept the strength I had when I was 30 years ago. But now I have a son and his friends to do the grunt work for me :) Thanks, JohnR7

I liked your story JohnR7 and also want to add that I have been encouraged by your posts. You always refer to God's Word and I really really like that! It is an example for me.

Praise God that in the eyes of our Lord, we are young no matter our ages! : )

I too am getting older soooon. I am not that old but I do feel very old at heart - not a nice feeling! But Praise God that we can always be carefree and childlike before Him.

May God bless you and yours!

Thanks, I do not get many replys, so it is nice to get some encouragement.

God will fix that. Our pastor is 80 years young and the teenagers have trouble keeping up with him. He does a lot of fasting, and he learned how to get whatever strength and energy he needs from God, whenever he needs it.

Psalm 103:2-5
Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: [3] Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; [4] Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; [5] Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy YOUTH is RENEWED like the eagle's.

OOOOOH HALF A CENTURY!!!!

Happy Birthday, baby! Hope it was a great one.

As I approach my 32nd year I can't help but reflect on the fact that Jesus only lived to be 33. It seems like I just got started! I wonder if he felt that way too...
