I'd say it's more than just an "offer". More like a rescue mission.

I work in retail. I've seen the fits customers pitch when they don't get the piddly, mundane, material things they pay for.

So I would say that God is well within His rights to get what Jesus paid so dearly for. Jesus paid in full, He should get what He paid for in full.

That's my take, anyway.

I know this is a far fetched idea. But what if Jesus' sacrifice was just as powerful as Adam's Action. Through Adam the whole world was condemned no questions asked. What if Through Jesus the whole world IS saved?
Paul would agree with you: "For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive." (1 Corinthians 15:22) If a mere human such as Adam could supposedly wreck all of mankind, surely Jesus can reconcile all of mankind.

Does God "offer" salvation to everyone?

No, because salvation is not an offer made to man. He does, however, issue a general call to repentance. I know you didn't ask that but I thought I'd throw that in there anyway. Lol!

Does that mean that you espouse universalism or are you simply saying that God saves everyone He intends to save?

The action of the second Adam IS just as powerful as the action of the first Adam. In fact, more so. The difference is that Adam represented his progeny, i.e., all mankind born of the seed of a man, and Christ represents His progeny, i.e., believers.

Except that's not what that verse is saying. It's saying "all who are in Adam, die with Adam. All who are in Christ are made alive in Christ."

They represent different groups of people. Adam represents those born of the seed of a man and Christ represents those who are born from above.

That's one way of looking at it, if one espouses partialism.

Yes...the biblical way.
...if one espouses partialism.
I'm sure this is a jab at me but I can't see how anything I said reflected partialism. Maybe you could elaborate.

almost every Christian denomination agrees God's offer of salvation to all people, except for some hyper-calvinist groups

Scary, huh? That such a huge contingent of Christianity would be so utterly wrong about salvation...it blows the mind. And for the record, Calvinists don't see salvation as "an offer."

did you click on my link? only the most extreme forms of Calvinism would deny that Jesus's sacrifice is of any value to the non-elect. your version of Calvinism is different from historic, orthodox Calvinism.

According to one's particular interpretation, yes.

I'm sure this is a jab at me but I can't see how anything I said reflected partialism. Maybe you could elaborate.
Are you familiar with Christian partialism?

ETA: How does making the observation of one's position amount to making a jab? Was your asking me if I espoused universalism a jab?
