Many times I love others by keeping my mouth closed. Yes this is true. God has taught me to zip my lips.

It is not loving to say something that is in no way edifying or constructive to the other person. I have to watch my motivations and show agape love by not doing what my own pride wants.
Proverbs 17:27-28New King James Version (NKJV)
27 He who has knowledge spares his words,
And a man of understanding is of a calm spirit.

I agree.

I gotta remember to just keep me mouth shut sometimes.

My bad for thinking i was being encouraging.

LOL!

Again, Paul, i apologize to you for posting this on your thread on 5/1/17 that has since been edited to remove anything that you found offensive or worthy of ridicule....apparently i mis-understood the title of the thread or the intent of the thread.

Here's the original post on 5/1/17. My post was how i was loving others, which by the title of this thread invited me, as well as others, to do. So i did. Little did i know that i would be slapped down. I was praying for and blessing your thread and all who responded. How silly of me. It's not the first time i've been kicked in the teeth. How silly of me.

Here's my post that apparently was so "offensive" that it was worthy of hatred and ridicule.

No worries though, it won't happen again.

My offensive post:

 Wow Paul, yer loving ev'ry one that reads this thread, because it's blessing (and going to bless) all those reading it, and who are going to read it.

Thank you. You mades me heart smile.

This may sound weird, but a song that came on the radio this morning, set my heart into a worshipful mode, and thus enables God's grace to be present in a tangible, concrete way, where i can love others and see each one through the eyes of grace.

I will post the song here, if you don't mind. It's not the instruments or the singing that was ministering to me as much as the lyrics and the title of it, which hit me pretty powerfully:

"Grace That Won't Let Go"

How we all need grace. I know i do. That's why the lyrics gripped me.

God bless you Paul, and all who come on this thread.

It is hard to talk about "love" without sentimentalising or sounding superficial or just plain pathetic. I just hope people get the message I was trying to get across. That if I can "love" others, anyone can. That "love" can be given in the simplest of ways. That love is about attitude above all. Really wishing goodwill on others is such a blessing for us and them. That we rise to the challenge of loving other daily.
