Are There People in Hell Because of You?

Are you and your "witness" all that stand between a sinner and Hell?

  • Yes. That's the way it works.

  • No. God has elected some to salvation, and He will not lose any of His own.

There are many more countries than the US, aren't there? There are billions of people have lived and died without ever hearing the message.

Maybe so, but what does that have to do with it? God is not unjust to those people and if they are outside of my sphere of influence, they are of no matter to me. There's been people all over throughout history that lived even before the time of Christ that heard nothing about salvation. Not my concern.

You can bet for 100% sure that they all have a mistake written in someplace, or has woven it's way in. The Word of God is true, Jesus Christ is true. I don't know if you have any experience with being born again but as such the Holy Spirit inside you is a very good barometer for recognizing truth and Untruth. As humans, even in the spirit we still drag around some fleshly garbage and can make mistakes. But He is pretty quick at pointing that out as well.

We must be careful with our doubts and prove them out by the Word. And prayer.

Between denominations, differences in interpretation of scriptures exist. Many of these are contradictory.

Are you saying that many, if not, most Christians don't have the Holy Spirit in them?

Is it true that God so loved the world that He left the proclamation of the gospel up to flawed people who imperfectly delivered the message?

If so, they really didn't do such a great job because billions of people have lived and died without ever hearing the message, many millions didn't understand the message well enough to respond, and millions more saw Christians acting in some hypocritical way, so they were "turned off" to Christianity by Christians.

All of these people God loved so deeply and dearly, yet they are all in Hell. That's the "gospel" according to most of evangelical Christianity.

Are you and your "witness" all that stands between a sinner and Hell?

I could not select either of your options in your poll..

It is the Holy Spirit that can work through us to convince / convict / move a person to believe and accept the Atonement of Jesus.. We human followers of Jesus are not the ones who determine anyones eternal state by our efforts at being perfect witnesses.. The worst witness will have a much better effect if the Holy Spirit is working behind the scenes then the most eloquent witness without the Holy Spirit..

So we humans do not save anyone by our good efforts nor do we condemn anyone by our poor efforts...

If we accept that God chooses some from birth to be saved, then doesn't that imply that God also chooses some to be condemned from birth...that God creates people destined for eternal torture no matter what they or anyone else does?

I think you misunderstood my post.

I meant the differences in the interpretation of the teachings of Christ. Such thing commonly happens among our many denominations, Orthodoxy, etc.
The teachings come afterwards, by HIS SPIRIT.

But THE SPIRIT is not received unless one believes THE GOSPEL
And there's only ONE GOSPEL...
That is really what should be professed first and foremost...

Have you read the Great Commission or the book of Acts? If so, how does the Church grow?

We humans were only supposed to preach CHRIST.

Jimmyjimmy. You raise a very interesting question.

1) Hell is not a permanent place. Rightly understood, hell is simply the time when those who have chosen rebellion instead of obedience to GOD will be destroyed. Hell is not a permanent eternal dwelling place of torment. Such a lie is the doctrine of jesuitism which exists only to put the GOD of heaven in a bad light.

2) A true Christian is not a hypocrite. But there are those who pretend to be Christians.

3) If one can identify a hypocrite it then means that such a person knows the genuine article. So, live the genuine article unless you are so weak-minded that you cannot stand up and do what is right.

4) GOD has chosen to use humans to represent Him to the world. There are those who have endeavored and succeeded by the grace of GOD to live exemplary lives and overcame sin. Joseph, Daniel, Abraham, Peter, Paul, to name a few.

GOD knows whatHe is doing. We need not worry and fret about His plans. We ought to just go along with them.

The church grows by hearing and receiving THE GOSPEL as it should be heard and received

From GOD...
It is GOD alone who opens the eyes and the ears of the heart to the TRUTH of THE GOSPEL...

Is the Lake of Fire a permanent place?

But, God loves all men, and wants all men to be saved, right?

A good question.
Sometimes I go rock picking on Lake Superior. I wish every rock I picked up was an agate. They are not. If I find one, I rejoice over it, and it's too bad the others are rejects, but I don't cry over them either. Now they are all rocks and potentially of interest, but not all are agates. I can't help that. I wish it wasn't so. I think when all is said and done, there will be no empty seats in heaven because of me. I am not Calvinist, but I believe God is the recruiter and not us. Whatever people get is between them and God. If God is so passionately driven to stuff heaven with every last redeemed sinner, he's doing a rotten job of it.

First off, define "hell"...?

Why does God allow certain people to be born when God knows that individual may turn against him?

Heaven: Is it a SPIRITUAL REALM?.. NOT the equal/opposite of "Hell"/"Lake of Fire": A SPIRITUAL REAL

Secondly, I do not think so, but do not know for sure if God chose to make me an instrument for a time of "inspection" in an, or anyone's individual life...

Because thou knewest not (did not discern) the time of thy visitation (inspection)...? (Luke 19:44)

Thirdly, God looks at the heart of every individual person and judges accordingly taking all situations and circumstances into account and weighs them all out, and judges accordingly and justly, unlike us... His judgments are perfect, knowing all and considering all...

God Bless!

Nice analogy. Jesus used sheep and coins. All three work.

As I Calvinist, I answer the question, "why does God choose some and not others" with: for His good pleasure. That's all that scripture gives us.

What reason who you give to the same question? Why does God only save "agate"?

What does this mean in the context of the OP?
