In my case it's never having met anyone - not quite never having met anyone I was interested in as there have been times I was interested but it didn't turn into a relationship. It is to a large extent my fault as I kept to myself for far too long, which is definitely the wrong way to go about trying to meet someone.
I have taken steps to change that, but so far a relationship hasn't come. Although just getting out more and doing things with other people is definitely not a bad thing, so there have still be some positives.

Finding peace where I am
Part of it is a lack of interest and part of it is faults within myself. I believe that even if I wanted to have a relationship I would be incapable of it. I don't have the personality or social ability for it. I do pretty well on my own, but my limited social needs are met by my family, who lives nearby, and co workers. I suppose it's a blessing because I don't need much to keep me happy.

I live in a rural area in a very secular country. There aren't any single ladies in the congregations I frequent.

Wow! That's crazy! Most times dating is shallow and superficial, so how does that prepare someone. (headshake) I've never dated, and I don't think that something is wrong with me.......I've observed couples and I read marriage books, to get an idea of things.
