Nobody in this life here completely stops sinning. Not even saved people.

Focus on the biggest sins that you do have control over. Gross sins like stealing (you can stop yourself from picking something up that isn't yours) adultery (you have the option to not sleep with a married person), murder (if that's you're thing, stop murdering people) idolatry, which comes in many forms, make sure to read scripture and pray more than anime.

I find it very hard to believe you're irredeemable at 17.

It just sounds like you're ascribing far too much weight to "thought" sins. Be more concerned about action sins which can be controlled, and then you'll be able to tell the intrusive thoughts to back off.
Yeah..that's the nature of OCD anxiety ...you over think and analyze things to a T. I feel for Deerglow as I have intrusive thoughts...but they aren't religious ..

What about Matthew 12, accounting for every word? :( I have a lot already on me. And looking at a woman with lust = adultery right? Thoughts can be deathly sin too.

Yes but if we were condemned to hell for that then nobody would be saved. Please understand that.

That is sadly some unhelpful, if not harmful teaching you have been given. the Psalms contain may such expressions of inner conflicts, doubts and struggles. Martin Luther struggled with depression all his life.He used the Psalms when he was experiencing his very dark times.

Beware of simplistic 'religious sounding' teaching and concepts.

So you to feel that when you are born from above and put on the mind of Christ......This very mind can then get depressed and make you want to kill yourself huh?

If you're filled with God's spirit and saved...
You won't experience depression, suicidal thoughts, mental illness.... No matter what happens you bounce back and are always faithful..

And if you don't...you're not saved...

Is that really true... If so maybe I should examine myself...but I do know in my heart and soul in saved...and I will battle anyone all day..because I know what I did and believe in and I remember my baptism.

Not true

Cooper, the hymn writer struggled with suicidal thoughts his whole life. He wrote hymns like 'God works i mysterious ways his wonders to behold....' A good book on it was written by John Piper in the Swans are not Silent Series

So you to feel that when you are born from above and put on the mind of Christ......This very mind cab then get depressed and make you want to kill yourself huh?

Let's clarify some details.

Are you perfect ie you always, totally express and live out the mind of Christ within you? If not then there will be areas where a person still has the past very much alive. I am sure ytou don't claim perfection and full maturity in Christ.

Paul in Romans 12:1-2 wrote about the renewing of our minds as an ongoing process. Elsewhere we are encouraged to 'grow up in Christ' meaning we have yet more to learn and develop.

Then, we are more than just minds. Emotions are very real and can have a genuine independence from our mental processes.

Scripture nowhere directly addresses what we call 'mental health'. It is unwarranted to attach general biblical principles to specific conditions that are real, complex and powerful. That is a confusion of categories. And often very confusing and condemning for anyone already struggling with a sense of guilt and failure.

Totally not true. Being saved does not make you immune to the trials of life. The rain falls on the just and the unjust...

That's how I feel too, I mean I had troubles before but it got worse.

If you think it's normal for Christians to have big problems continuously, then think again. It's NOT normal.

Big problems happen because of some reasons. I asked you to send me a message but you didn't, that's your choice. I know the answer (not of my own merit).

There was a certain man who suffered with horrible gout pain, depression and was plagued by slander and scorn a great deal during his life...Charles Spurgeon

Below is the closing of his last sermon before he died:

“He is the most magnanimous of captains.
There never was his like among the choicest of princes.
He is always to be found in the thickest part of the battle.
When the wind blows cold he always takes the bleak side of the hill.
The heaviest end of the cross lies ever on his shoulders.
If he bids us carry a burden, he carries it also.
If there is anything that is gracious, generous, kind, and tender, yea lavish and superabundant in love, you always find it in him.
These forty years and more have I served him, blessed be his name! and I have had nothing but love from him.
I would be glad to continue yet another forty years in the same dear service here below if so it pleased him.
His service is life, peace, joy.
Oh, that you would enter on it at once!
God help you to enlist under the banner of Jesus even this day! Amen.”

What Bible verses can you point too in order to share your knowledge?

I am pretty sure it is not true. Like cancer or heart disease or MS, mental illnesses and their symptons have components based in physiological disorders. Just as it would be wrong to think that unsaved people do no experience diseased states of the body, so also is it wrong to assume that psychological distresses will not be experienced by saved people.
