Hi again Nikolai,

I just read Isaiah 65 and 66 again, and i feel that if we understand these chapters then we will get a good idea of the context.

The reference appears right at the end and as i read it I am tempted to see this "destiny" as contratsed with entering into the kingdom.

And due to my own "preterist" glasses see it referring to the end of the old covenant the old heavens and earth, the destruction of jerusalem and the birth of the new era, new testament, the new heavens and the new earth. The contrast between life and death even.

So I see it perhaps speaking of the finality of this change as well.

I think I should re-examine the context of where our Lord uses it as well.

"And if your hand offend you, cut it off. For it is profitable for you to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go away into Hell, into the unquenchable fire, where their worm does not die, and the fire is not put out. And if your foot causes you to offend, cut it off, for it is profitable for you to enter into life lame, than having two feet to be thrown into Hell, into the unquenchable fire, where their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched. "

Job 25:6 how much less man who is a maggot; and the son of man who is a worm!

Fear not, worm of Jacob, men of Israel; I will help you, states Jehovah, and your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.
(Isaiah 41:14 LITV)

Isa 66:24 And they shall go out and see the dead bodies of the men who have rebelled against Me; for their worm shall not die, nor shall their fire be put out; and they shall be an object of disgust to all flesh.
