Actually thinking about it what if this guy went to the club for some fun and when he came home his wife asked where he went in the middle of the night and he came up with the excuse hoping it would work by saying God told him to go. No wife would really buy into that.

Yep! Very true.

He never received the lap dance. He simply " bought " the dance but talked instead.

so he basically paid to have a talk with this female. nothing else beyond that happened.

I would have to ask the same question that everyone else has asked. since he was so confident the LORD was leading him to do this, did he inform his wife about it? if not, why not?

second, why did he stay overnight with this female at a motel alone? did he inform his wife about his plan to do this?

Wow, there are SO many here who are missing the entire point of this thread... sad, very sad indeed. The point is about God guiding a man to evangelize to a woman who wants to hear His Word! What's impossible for man isn't impossible for GOD!!

All valid questions.
I don't think telling his wife would be a direct confirming piece of evidence that God told him to do it or not. (( Don't forget the fact that Daisy still talks to him and his wife present day ))

There was plenty of moments during Jesus' ministry where He'd heal a person but tell that very person " Don't tell anyone " Mark 7:36

It's up to us to simply seek the Truth of a matter..by measuring it to the Truth itself.
Is this something that Jesus Himself would've done?
if the answer is Yes..

Then there is no more need for questions to cater to your intellectual sanity. :)

But yes, Jesus Christ Himself would've walked in a Strip Club and did just what this man did.

But, but, but...... rules and appearances!

Its not about what God may or may not be doing in someones life its about getting to judge someone else as if it is our place!

The real issue is, if this woman was brought to the Lord, who cares about the rules. Jesus healed on the Sabbath..... whats more important that some man may have seen nudity or the fact a soul may have been saved?

Whether God led him to the strip club or not, that is between him and God.... not for US to judge. God knows his heart and his thoughts, not any of us. Assumptions of his heart or character are NOT our place, nor are our assumptions a good system used to judge another. God is the only judge.

If God truly led him there, then I would never DARE call that wicked or sin. If he is trying to justify a desire to go to the strip club.... again, thats between him and God and he needs to repent.... but.... I will not make assumptions on his character nor his heart.

Jesus would've never ever been a "customer" nor been "deceptive" nor ever had the appearance of attempting to piece together a cover for what this appears to be.

Nice try though.

Bottom line?

It is what it is.

Nothing of the living God nor the only begotten Son of the living God, Jesus the Christ, is in ANY of this.

Luke 7:33-35
This is out of the Son of the living God's own LITERAL MOUTH.

John 2:15
This is the literal actions that the Son of the living God did that would have him put in jail in 2017.

Now just on these two scriptures you mean to tell me then, that it is un-heard of that Jesus would go to a Strip Club to speak to a stripper?

Or maybe this is more fitting for you..

John 4:1-44
A moment in time where " Strip Clubs " weren't really the thing, but He went into a land where harlots were everywhere and actually had a conversation with a harlot. Whom He already knew...was a harlot.

The Jesus I serve is quite awesome in how Gracious He is and how the lowest of the low can get His attention.

It's not. It's between him, his wife, and his children, and any semblance of his character or any reverberations of his:

Being in the strip club (going there of his own volition in the middle of the night).
Any impact on his children, his character, or ANY witness for the living God
Deception of ANY kind.
His standing before a Holy God.
His shaming his witness for and/or shaming the living God.
His shaming and/or degrading of his wife and children by even "appearing" to go off in "stealth" in the middle of the night to "witness" to a woman, inside where she is engaging in her craft, as he becomes a "customer".
He disrespected this woman as well to mis-lead her in his "stealth", "deception" and "pretense".

Ever heard of David WilKerson, brother?

Jesus didn't participate in the practices of publicans and sinners, he only interacted with them for the sake of the gospel. he certainly didn't lend himself to fierce temptation while doing this.

if we're going to say that because this one guy went into a brothel, without informing his wife that he was going to do it, believing God told him to do it, and then decides for whatever reason to stay with this chic at a motel, just her and him, overnight, you would be encouraging bad practice for believers.

such actions are hardly necessary or even prudent for effective evangelism to such people who believers absolutely should evangelize.

BTW what Jesus did in mark 7:36 isn't even close to an accurate comparison to this situation.

John 9:6 - Having said these things, he spit on the ground and made mud with the saliva. Then he anointed the man’s eyes with the mud

Now, do you consider this the RIGHT..or WRONG way...to heal a man of blindness? Jesus decided it was RIGHT...to do it this way. What say you?
The reason Messiah made mud with his saliva was to provoke the Pharisees. In the "oral law", also known as the Talmud/Mishnah, on the Sabbath, it is considered working to spit on the ground. This was a strategic move. Just wanted to share :)

Ever heard of David WilKerson, brother?

IF you want to be worldly, absolutely it is between he, his wife, his kids...... even his gardener for all I know.

However, the question is NOT about the world and worldly appearance. but it has EVERYTHING to do with the spirit.

Luke 14:26
“If any man come to Me and hate not his father and mother, and wife and children, and brethren and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple."

Matthew 10:37
37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

You can judge this man on his actions and you too will be judged by the same measure..(by appearance and assumptions)... or you can realize that Jesus is NOT about religion but about relationship to Him and reaching out so others too may know Him.

Yes, going to a strip club is bad, but NOT if led there by the spirit. We were known before we were even born..... do you believe that nudity upsets the Spirit? It is the heart of man or woman in lust that upsets the Spirit, NOT the nudity in itself. If one is led by the Spirit then one can TRULY walk into a strip club and REMAIN RIGHTEOUS..... but ONLY if the Spirit truly led them there.

IF God led him there (someone became a Christian due to his visit so I have to judge the FRUIT.... NOT the action on its surface.) then I say praise the Lord. NOT "YOU SINNING HEATHEN!"

Now, if a woman had not be brought to Jesus then "being led" by the Spirit would be suspect, but being there is spiritual fruit from this act..... I will not assume that he is a man that simply wanted to see nudity.

This life is NOT about us, who we marry, how many kids we have..... no matter how much we may love them. IT IS ABOUT CHRIST, not us nor our family.

Mark 10:29-30

9 And Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel's,

30 But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.

Your opinion is noted.

Thank you for sharing it, brother in Christ and son of the Most High God.

I disagree (based on my many posts in this thread, that's no surprise.)

Ever heard David Wilkerson?

Peace, brother.

I would rather stick to the word of God than to look to the words of man.

You need not agree, I am simply warning of the dangers of judging others based on assumptions. You will know them by their fruits. A good tree can not bear bad fruit and a bad tree can not bear good fruit. His act of going to a strip club bore GOOD fruit.... so THAT is what I judge..... not the act nor the man.

God can reach those that are His in ANY way HE chooses....... Gods ways are better than those ways assumed by man.
