The same reason he uses anyone here that he can use, or in america or in Israel or in Britain, et al, to deceive, kill, and destroy souls.

Remember he uses the whole world / sons of disobedience,
as YHWH SOVEREIGN
allows.

Why was it allowed if it would result in his separation from God?

Ask God,
it is HIS PLAN for our SALVATION.

HIS PLAN is PERFECT, eternally forever past and present and future,
with no fault, with not even a spot or a wrinkle or any darkness at all - no mistakes in HIS PLAN at all.

Think about this - all mankind was separated from GOD by sin.

No way to get to GOD.

GOD always knew this - even before HE created the world GOD KNEW THIS.

GOD PLANNED A WAY - JESUS birth as a man (in the midst of a wicked evil generation) , HIS crucifixion/ sacrifice/ shedding HIS BLOOD to atone for the sins of mankind, and HIS RESURRECTION!

HALLELUYAH ! RESURRECTION LIFE !!!!

Always PLANNED, all along, for all who are in CHRIST JESUS.

We who were enemies of GOD, all our lives, HE DIED FOR, to

REDEEM US WITH HIS BLOOD.

HE bore our sins and our illness upon HIMSELF.

So we could be no longer separated from GOD,
but
so great is YHWH'S LOVE for us - HE made a WAY for us to be becoming HIS OWN CHILDREN. (in JESUS! ) ...

JESUS suffered separation/ punishment/ beatings till no flesh was left on HIS back (ONE stripe), stoning that tore HIS flesh,
and crucifixion
FOR US.
FOR OUR SINS.

And HALLELUYAH ! DEATH could NOT HOLD HIM!
HE IS ALIVE FOREVER, never to die again, ever.
So we can have the same hope for resurrection with HIM.

The Truth About Judas - Betrayer of Christ by David Wilkerson June 15, 1992
Jesus could easily have been captured without Judas' help. He had taught in the synagogues, streets and marketplaces. His face was one of the most recognizable in all Israel and Judah. Scripture says the people followed Him even to the quiet places where He withdrew to pray!

Jesus said to the arresting mob, "Are ye come out as against a thief with swords and staves for to take me? I sat daily with you teaching in the temple, and ye laid no hold on me" (Matthew 26:55). In other words: "I am well known to you - My face is familiar. Why this sudden attack as though I were a complete stranger to you?"

Clearly Judas' kiss was not needed to identify Christ - because Christ's enemies knew Him well already! His face was emblazoned on their consciences. And the aura of His mighty presence was itself enough to identify Him.

If satan is as smart as hes claimed to be, surely he wouldve been aware of the prophecies of the suffering servant and death of the messiah right? Why would he willingly try to fulfill a prophecy that he surely was aware of? Even if he didn't know the prophecies he surely heard Jesus rebuking peter for trying to stop Jesus from being killed. So obviously he knew Jesus wanted to be sacrificed. So why would he give Jesus what he wanted and be happy about it? I find it hard to imagine satan was so stupid as thinking he won because jesus was dead, especially when he heard Jesus saying constantly he would be risen.

I believe that the great mystery of being truly born again was hidden from those in The Old Testament as well as most people living today. Until one actually goes through the rebirth, the born again experience remains a mystery.

We're told God sits in the Heavens and laughs at the evil that the devil, and man contrives. God took the most excruciating evil event of all time and turned it into the most adoring salvation of mankind. I believe this says it all!

I have a different understanding of the nature and identity of satan. It takes a bit to get your head around it to begin with, but once you understand that the traditional teachings of this subject don't fit in with what is recorded in the bible, everything becomes clearer.

Here is a link to a book on the subject.

I'm pretty satisfied with my personal conclusion to this topic which says something to the effect of "Satan made an emotional irrational decision to give Jesus what he wanted based off of anger or frustration of not being able to get Jesus to sin, so decided if he won't sin let me at least enjoy his suffering on the cross" Of course I'm not saying Jesus being crucified was merely up to satan, but that satan of course did all he could to make it happen.

Wouldn't you find it hard to believe that Christ would choose a devil, which is similar to God creating his own adversary? Maybe things are not quite what they first seem.

I think your position gives satan too much credit. If it were up to satan, I don't believe he would have "allowed" Jesus to die as a sacrifice for our sin; satan may win some battles but he has already lost the war with Christ's death and resurrection. Did satan "enjoy" Christ's suffering? Possibly. But that doesn't change the fact that he did NOT have control over Christ's death. To believe so undermines the ultimate authority of God, imho.

Satan didn't crucify Christ, not sure where you get that from.

Jesus freely laid down His life to satisfy the righteous wrath of God against sin for all the Father draws to Himself and would believe in Him.

It wasn't Satan doing.

Yes. He laid down His life, but He didn't kill Himself.

I don't understand the continued focus on satan...the ultimate deceiver. Why not focus on what Christ did for mankind rather than trying to figure out the evil one's reasoning? I just don't get this fascination.
Old human nature.

Christ Jesus always,
always,
always did as the FATHER directed HIM. This fulfilled all prophecy. Perfectly.

He trained His disciples to learn to do likewise - gradually, and totally willingly and joyously, with no fear at all, and no doubting.

The Truth About Judas
.... everything must be tested, no matter if an Apostle or an angel shows up and teaches it....
YHWH spoke specifically how the betrayer would do:
"why " 'might' be learned, but not necessarily.

One simply reason that fits the scenario : (from web search// untested page)

"A problem solved. Once the Jewish authorities decided to get rid of Jesus, they had to find a way to do it without inciting a riot or an uprising.

They knew that Jesus had supporters among the ordinary people, many of whom might take up arms on his behalf.

They had to arrest Jesus quickly, without a fuss.

But there was a problem. Since there would have been something like 100,000 people in and around Jerusalem at Passover that year, the chances of locating and arresting an individual, especially one who did not want to be found, were slight.
Suddenly a solution to their problem appeared. One of Jesus' disciples, Judas, approached the authorities and showed them how they might arrest Jesus.

• Judas knew what Jesus' movements were likely to be.
• He was well placed to find an occasion when Jesus would be most vulnerable.
• He also showed them how Jesus could be arrested during the festival without the event becoming too public, too disruptive.

'Quick and silent' was what was needed in this combustible situation.

Once Jesus was arrested, even his popularity with the people would not protect him. He could be taken into custody and dealt with before the general populace was even aware of what was happening."

It all happened exactly as it was written/ prophesied in the OLD TESTAMENT.
