"DON'T JUDGE" Let's go a 'tiny bit' deeper than the scriptural favorite of Matthew 7:1 that even the nonbelievers love to pull out. God never intended it to be such a deceitful misnomer. It's why people are so gullible to every wind of doctrine from an 'accredited source'.

"Do not judge and criticize and condemn [others unfairly with an attitude of self-righteous superiority as though assuming the office of a judge], so that you will not be judged [unfairly]. For just as you [hypocritically] judge others [when you are sinful and unrepentant], so will you be judged; and in accordance with your standard of measure [used to pass out judgment], judgment will be measured to you. Why do you look at the [insignificant] speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice and acknowledge the [egregious] log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me get the speck out of your eye,’ when there is a log in your own eye? You hypocrite (play-actor, pretender), FIRST get the log out of your own eye, and THEN you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.

“Do not give that which is holy to dogs, and do not throw your pearls before pigs, for they will trample them under their feet, and turn and tear you to pieces." Matthew 7:1-6

"But the natural [unbelieving] man does not accept the things [the teachings and revelations] of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness [absurd and illogical] to him; and he is incapable of understanding them, because they are spiritually discerned and appreciated, [and he is unqualified to judge spiritual matters]. But the spiritual man [the spiritually mature Christian] judges all things [questions, examines and applies what the Holy Spirit reveals], yet is himself judged by no one [the unbeliever cannot judge and understand the believer’s spiritual nature]. For who has known the mind and purposes of the Lord, so as to instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ [to be guided by His thoughts and purposes]." 1 Corinthians 2:14-16

"Do you not know that the saints (God’s people) will [one day] judge the world? If the world is to be judged by you, are you not competent to try trivial (insignificant, petty) cases? Do you not know that we [believers] will judge angels? How much more then [as to] matters of this life? So if you have lawsuits dealing with matters of this life, are you appointing those as judges [to hear disputes] who are of no account in the church? I say this to your shame. Can it be that there is not one wise man among you who [is governed by integrity and] will be able and competent to decide [private disputes] between his fellow believers, but instead, brother goes to law against brother, and that before [judges who are] unbelievers?" 1 Corinthians 6:2-6

"To pronounce another religious group to be false can seem a pompous undertaking, especially in a culture that preaches tolerance for everything from homosexuality to a mother's "right" to kill her unborn child. Tolerance is the banner that unites much of our culture and anyone who points a judging finger at someone or something is often ridiculed.

But Christians are told in the Bible to separate themselves from the sinful practices of man and to expose error. "Examine all things and to hold fast to that which is true," says God's word (1 Thess. 5:21). So we do.

What does it mean to examine if we do not judge what is right and wrong? Jesus judged the Pharisees as hypocrites. Peter judged Ananias and Saphira as liars (Acts 5:3-4). Paul judged the Galatians as fools (Gal. 3:1).

The reason something can be said to be right or wrong is because the Bible has laid out before us a moral and doctrinal standard that is clear. It is wrong to lie. So, we are able to say to someone who lies, "What you are doing is wrong." That is making a judgment.

Likewise, with the cults, as Christians we are commanded to be able to give answers to everyone (1 Pet. 3:15) and to contend for the faith that was delivered by the apostles (Jude 4). If we do not fight for the faith, the faith will be lost. If we do not expose the errors of the cults, homosexuality, secular humanism, evolution, Islam, Roman Catholicism, then the false teachings will move unchecked in the world and lead even more into eternal destruction.

To make a judgment means that we must recognize that there are absolutes. In a world that worships relativism, absolutes are not welcome and the cults and false religions that promote their false doctrines beg tolerance; they don't want to be examined.

CARM stands for the truth of God's word, not a compromising collection of beliefs that changes as people's whims vary. False religions and secular idiologies that deny who Jesus really is are worthy topics of examination. But in examining, judgments are made. Of course, we don't advocate violence nor oppression against anyone. But we do promote honest, biblical, logical examination of different belief systems and if they don't measure up to scripture, we say so." Do we have the right to make these judgments? | carm

Some people take a public stand against gossip, slander, and evil speculation but their feet are lightning quick to race toward the same thing they condemn. It is not profitable to drink judgement upon our own head (1 Timothy 5:24, Matthew 23:27-28, 1 Corinthians 11:27-34, Luke 18:1-8, Galatians 6:7-8). I'm curious as to whether or not people fully understand the biblical depth of the word 'forgiveness'/'forgiven' or if it's simply a carnal ideology masquerading AS a spiritual reality.

You do not need to wait until the afterlife to see the results of lawless hypocrisy (2 Peter 2:9-10). There is terrestrial punishment, and celestial. No God is not responsible, everyone is responsible for their own wicked actions (James 1:13-18), and there is no favoritism (Acts 10:34, Romans 2:9-11). People like to dream that everyone gets away with everything in the end, it is a lie. Relativism is the greatest lie of mankind.

I believe some people enjoy deceiving themselves (Isaiah 5:20-23). True Disciples are far from powerless, they rule the nations with a rod of iron (Revelations 2:24-28). The very idea that following commandments is futile, is the myth of dreamers (Jude 1:8-16). The reality is, believer's like to choose their own way, and follow their own sense of righteousness, rather than God's very clear instructions for advancing His Kingdom (The Word).

"There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death." Proverbs 14:12

"He who justifies the wicked and he who condemns the righteous, Both of them alike are an abomination to the LORD." Proverbs 17:15

"Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Carefully consider what is right in the eyes of everybody. If it is possible on your part, live at peace with everyone.

Do not avenge yourselves, beloved, but leave room for God’s wrath. For it is written: “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay, says the Lord.”

On the contrary,

“If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
if he is thirsty, give him a drink.
For in so doing,
you will heap burning coals on his head.”
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good." Romans 12:17-21

We live in an age where speaking Truth is considered speaking curses.

Watch that you are not deceived, brothers and sisters. Study the Word for yourself, and the Holy Spirit will lead you into all the Truth.

Relativism is an anti-Christ.

"With the kind (merciful, faithful, loyal) You show Yourself kind,
With the blameless You show Yourself blameless,

With the pure You show Yourself pure,
And with the crooked You show Yourself astute.

For You save an afflicted and humble people,
But bring down those [arrogant fools] with haughty eyes.

For You cause my lamp to be lighted and to shine;
The Lord my God illumines my darkness.

For by You I can crush a troop,
And by my God I can leap over a wall.

As for God, His way is blameless.
The word of the Lord is tested [it is perfect, it is faultless];
He is a shield to all who take refuge in Him." Psalm 18:25-30

“If the Holy Spirit was withdrawn from the church today, 95 percent of what we do would go on and no one would know the difference. If the Holy Spirit had been withdrawn from the New Testament church, 95 percent of what they did would stop, and everybody would know the difference.” - A.W. Tozer

What is the Holy Spirit to you? Does it accord with the following Biblical text?

(John 1:12-13, Galatians 5:22-23, Acts 5:32, John 15:18-27, John 16:5-16, Luke 24:45-49, John 3:6-8, Romans 8:2-6, Micah 3:8-10, Acts 2:1-5, 1 John 2:19-27, Numbers 14:24, John 4:24, 2 Peter 1:2-21, Matthew 28:19, Luke 1:35, Jude 1:17-23, Matthew 7:15-23, 1 Thessalonians 4:1-8, 2 Corinthians 3:1-6).

I highly advise cross-referencing multiple older translations for contextual accuracy. It seems even the people who preach against putting God in a box, are always doing just that, in order to be people-pleasers.

"The [spiritually ignorant] fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.”
They are corrupt, they have committed repulsive and unspeakable deeds;
There is no one who does good.

The Lord has looked down from heaven upon the children of men
To see if there are any who understand (act wisely),
Who [truly] seek after God, [longing for His wisdom and guidance].

They have all turned aside, together they have become corrupt;
There is no one who does good, not even one.

Have all the workers of wickedness and injustice no knowledge,
Who eat up my people as they eat bread,
And do not call upon the Lord?

There they tremble with great fear,
For God is with the [consistently] righteous generation.

You [evildoers] shamefully plan against the poor,
But the Lord is his safe refuge.

Oh, that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion!
When the Lord restores His captive people,
Then Jacob will rejoice, Israel will be glad." Psalm 14.

Mammon will deceive a believer into thinking it's God's will to have it. That is a lie from the spiritually blind. If the spiritually blind leads the spiritually blind, both fall into a pit. The soulical, soulish, fleshly, worldly, carnal mind always supports itself. If 3,000 carnally-minded people agree on one thing, they have established a carnal reality, not a spiritual reality. The heart is deceitful above all things, and is desperately wicked. The temporal is here one second, and can be taken away in an instant. What is your life?

"There is a way which seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death." Proverbs 14:12

"“Do not store up for yourselves [material] treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in and steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart [your wishes, your desires; that on which your life centers] will be also.

“The eye is the lamp of the body; so if your eye is clear [spiritually perceptive], your whole body will be full of light [benefiting from God’s precepts]. But if your eye is bad [spiritually blind], your whole body will be full of darkness [devoid of God’s precepts]. So if the [very] light inside you [your inner self, your heart, your conscience] is darkness, how great and terrible is that darkness!

“No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon [money, possessions, fame, status, or whatever is valued more than the Lord]." Matthew 6:19-24

"Do not love the world [of sin that opposes God and His precepts], nor the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the lust and sensual craving of the flesh and the lust and longing of the eyes and the boastful pride of life [pretentious confidence in one’s resources or in the stability of earthly things]—these do not come from the Father, but are from the world. The world is passing away, and with it its lusts [the shameful pursuits and ungodly longings]; but the one who does the will of God and carries out His purposes lives forever." 1 John 2:15-17

"But I want you to be free from concern. The unmarried man is concerned about the things of the Lord, how he may please the Lord; but the married man is concerned about worldly things, how he may please his wife, and his interests are divided. The unmarried woman or the virgin is concerned about the matters of the Lord, how to be holy and set apart both in body and in spirit; but a married woman is concerned about worldly things, how she may please her husband. Now I say this for your own benefit; not to restrict you, but to promote what is appropriate and secure undistracted devotion to the Lord." 1 Corinthians 7:32-25

2 Peter 2:12 (KJV) refers to carnally-dominated false prophets/teachers as "natural brute beasts" but Titus 2:14 (KJV) refers to Spiritually-governed believers as "a peculiar people". Do you ever examine your faith (2 Corinthians 13:5-9 KJV) and see if you are truly set-apart, behaviorally holy for the Lord? (1 Peter 1:14-16 AMP). 1 Peter 2:11 (ESV) urges the believer as "sojourners and exiles" to abstain from the works of the flesh which are clearly defined in Galatians 5:19-21 (KJV). God's Grace empowers us to shine as a light in the world. Yes. Philippians 2:15 (ESV).

"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord." 2 Corinthians 3:18 (KJV)
