So any takes on latest Syria development(s)?

The thing about Isaiah 17 to remember is that Damascus will cease to be a city.It will not just be damaged. It will disappear and be no more. It has been damaged before. It has been conquered before. But, it has not ceased to be a city as Isaiah 17 describes.

Has anyone here read Joel Rosenberg's The Ezekiel Option? It is fictionalized Ezekiel 38. It is a good read. I recommend it.

Trump obviously just doing his assigned job to replace Bashar Assad with American Puppet. Whoever is the President of America.

But now Russia and Iran threats to retaliate any further attack to Syria.

It is looking more and more like the world is staging for something big. Russia and Iran are screaming about the air attacks on Syria. I just wonder how will Damascus be destroyed?

If anything, Syria could possibly be turned into a crisis that pushes the world closer to accepting a world leader that presents himself as having all of the so-called "solutions". I believe things are definitely going to build up to where we reach the brink at some point, but then some sort of agreement or treaty is made. I can't imagine a large scale military build-up happening under everyone's noses followed up by a massive invasion where everyone is surprised. Like I said, I believe there's going to be a huge build-up, but without any kind of disarmament following an agreement or peace deal, which of course would pave the way for a surprise large scale invasion.
This is just conjecture though and not something I would present as Gospel.

I personally think the US is stupid for pushing this matter to the point where we are militarily attacking another country; even dumber are the people who believe all of the media reports that Assad actually used chemical weapons; and even dumber still is the idea that Assad would risk throwing away Russian support and turn the entire global community together against him by using chemical weapons. His forces are much better equipped & supplied compared to the rebels that they have a lot more to lose than they have to gain from using unconventional/WMD weapons.
With the exception of supporting Israel, we probably have one of the worst track records of doing anything meaningful long-term in the Mid-East beyond leaving behind turmoil and fertile ground for terrorists.

When you look at Ezekiel 38-39, it has to be remembered that the scenario he painted in the prophecy indicates that Israel and a number of other nations are completely blindsided by this massive attack. Ezekiel 39:6 also seems to indicate another group besides Israel and Magog that is judged.
Coincidentally, a "daughter of Babylon" is also blindsided by an attacker from the north, compare Jeremiah 6:22-24 and Jeremiah 50:41-43 and its certainly not Iraq or a rebuilt Babylon in Iraq.
