Not sure what you mean when the apostle John declares that God is Light and also tells us that the light became flesh and dwelt among us. When we take the Greek translation of Energy into account then we see it is consistent with Genesis 1:1-2:3 which shows God as the Worker creating all of His works and resting on the 7th Day from all His works which He had made the previous six days.

Would you agree that spirit has energy? After all the spirit moves the body and that movement as we observe in nature is due to energy: therefore spirit has energy. When the Spirit of God hovered over the waters it moved because it as energy within itself.
