The Beast

Hi Phyllis~
Our Sunday School class is studying Luke right now and we discussed End Times this past Sunday. It is so interesting, to say the least! Our preacher thinks it is near and quoted scripture to give support himself and it just shocked me. He didn't give a date or anything, but he just feels many things are coming to pass.

Anyway, my question to you has nothing to do with that previous paragraph. I was just rambling But I do have a question.

I didn't realize there was a potential "mark" being created now. (The ID microchips). If that is the case,then do you think our government will insist we all have them? I mean, how do we know to refuse these chips because it is the real mark of the beast? Do other things need to come to pass first, such as a one world religion and currency? Just curious. Will we as Christians definately know that this is THE mark? Or will we fight amongst ourselves about it?

Oh I don't think Christians will argue about the mark being the beast's or not being the beast's. Those will be Christians who became Christians once the rapture already occurred & the antchrist was identified. So there will be no guesswork involved. Rev. shows the mark of the beast occurs after the rapture.

I'm so glad that I'm not going to be here during the rapture.

The world governments are as blind fools. The blind leading the blind. They all seem to be trying to develop all the latest safeguards and technologies to protect their money and security. They don't see the destruction coming that will catch them like a trap. They are also wasting millions of dollars trying to design something that will ultimately fail. Of all these new monitary systems, none of them will prosper, because in the end they will have a cashless society (the Mark of the Beast). I believe God wants the Church to be wise, to see the difference between what the world is trying to do, and what He is going to do.

and what's with the WTO thingy... now China and Taiwan are going to be part of this financial thingy... I don't know anything about the WTO... but what I heard is that the big businesses will be running the show and the small businesses will be losing out... do you think this is some kind of world unification?? Maybe I'm just rambling... oh well

The mark of the Beast has always been interesting to me. I remember when people thought it was ATM cards. I know it will not be missunderstood by Christians, it will be very plain. God will make it so. If you take the mark of the Beast you will be willingly worshiping the Beast. You wont be a Christian and by mistake or by satanic trickery take the mark of the Beast.

Now here is something to think about. Since the "60"s sci-fi movies have been conditioning us. I remember when if you said you believed in UFO's you were a nut case. Then in the "70"s you had "star trek" and you weren't such a nut to believe but kinda one. Then in the "80"s you would be in there with a lot of UFO believers. Now you are considered closed minded and a nut if you DONT believe in extraterrestials.

Look at how the movies have brought us along. Have any of you folks watched the star trek episode where they put the android "Data" on trial. They are to decide whether he is a sentient life form and due all the rights as any human.
Is he self aware. Yep. Is he able to learn. Yep. Does he know the value of life. Yep, and on it goes. Well they decide he is a life form due all the rights as a human. Never mind he was created by a man.

I've said all that to say this. We have been conditioned for decades to accept a lie. You know that satan sets up this world to believe lies all the time. Let's look at where we are going today. We need a world peace keeper. We need someone to cure dieseases, etc. (I say all this in a secular perspective). Now I have heard that the number of man is 6 and some think 666 is a superman or a supernateral man. If Satan landed a UFO on the White House lawn and claimed to be an extraterrestrial sent to help the Earth. Would we accept this? ........ If he showed signs and wonders, cured cancer, made peace, etc.........You see where I'm going with this. Yes it sounds crazy but I am looking at how we are being set up. Now if the rapture takes place and all this happens. Then the Beast has very few to arguee with and he may even take credit for the missing......He may say he took the trouble makers to his planet so he could help the Earth unhindered......Now I'm getting way out here, I know. I'm just throwing this out for you guys to chew on. I've heard so many ideas on this subject, I just thought a new one my make us think a little more.

I am as way out there as you are then!!!!!!!!!!!! lol. I've always thought that since satan has been plotting this ufo thing for so many years, he has now gotten mainstream speculating on it's being true also. Area 51, etc. Personally I pictured that when the rapture takes place, satan will see it happening as it happens & get spaceships to appear. Then everyone will think spaceships took us. So I don't think that there is going to be a big drove of people turning to God after the rapture. I think there will be a bunch of folks saying, "See, I told you UFO's were real". Spreading the news about Jesus and telling them also about the rapture would help those who get left behind. In fact I tell unbelievers it may appear as though space ships took us. So lots of folks think I'm crazy. lol. lol.

WOW--this is all to interesting I can't stop reading. I'm supposed to be doing my work, not playing!

It's great to read so many views. Whether any of us is right or wrong is something we will all find out some day, but I love hearing other opinions because sometimes it's something I hadn't thought of.

On the subject of UFO's, I've never believed in them although the actual experiences people have had with aliens was hard to explain to myself. I just knew deep down inside life didn't exist on other planets. The same went for reincarnation. It never made sense to me because why would God recycle souls.

I read a book by Hal Lindsey a few years back. His is interesting reading but I think scary, depending on what state your soul is in. The book was Planet Earth--2000 AD. This is a sort of a sequel to The Late, Great Planet Earth, a pretty famous book amongst Jesus Freaks back in the 70's, although I had never read it. In Planet Earth--2000 AD Lindsey talks about aliens and explains how he believes they are just demons, and another tool that satan uses. Anything that gets us focused off of God is to his glory. Now this may be common knowledge to some, but it was quite an eye opener for me, and finally answered my own question about aliens and confirmed my belief. Having learned that tiny little lesson I see so many things in a different light. Things that appear to "Godly" or of "Godly intervention" is usually just another tool that satan uses.

Thanks so much for all the interesting view points. I am enjoying all this reading! I just want to encourage anyone who has an idea or comment to post it. You never know what door it might open for someone. Maybe even make them dig out and dust off their bible to see it for themselves!

something to think about....the microchip... any of you heard of the Destron Fearing Corp.? pretty interesting stuff... check them out if your interested in just how real the technology for the microchip has become. Microchips the size of a grain of rice can be implanted just under the skin and you can be found by satellite from any location on earth almost instantly.
How about DigitalAngel.net? I'm not saying these Corporations are hooked up with the antichrist... I'm just saying check it out- the technology is here! It's getting close to time to go home folks! After the rapture... wow! It's going to be scary down here. These chips are being sold for our protection... to protect seniors and children and even lost pets. What do you think about the names of these two companies? Fun to speculate! Praise God- let's witness and snatch as many souls as we can before we go home!

The different views are great to get people to open up their own bibles and read for themselves.

I am not a big fan of Hal Linsey but I also believe the UFO propaganda are demon and evil spirits.

I have a question (This is a real question and not sarcasm or criticism)

It seems like a lot of people already KNOW that the mark of the beast will be some type of implantable chip. How do we know the mark of the beast will be an implantable chip? Is it solely because of the verse in Revelation that says no one will be able to buy or sell without the mark or is it that verse coupled with the fact that this new technology is beginning to come to light and it just seems logical?

The mark of the beast has been like solving a riddle for me. It is like a challenge.
Rev 13:16-18
16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:
17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

See the challenge. Let him who has understanding "calculate" the number. It is also the number of a "man". Maybe a demon possed man. I remember people calculating that Henry Kisinger was the "666" I remember people calculating the Pope as "666".

I am not pinning the "666" on anyone or anything yet. So I guess I don't have that "understanding" yet. The challenge is still there and I love a good challenge.

What we are saying is that these things are logically the possible mark because it is now POSSIBLE physically, & because it would be generally accepted by most non-believers as part of life. Never before in history has this been true. Here's another possibility & this is the truth. About 20 years ago around midnight, I was in a major chain grocery store. The owner was speaking to the manager. He said he had just come back that day from a national meeting where there were other owners of these different franchises who were overwhelmed by the number of bad checks they had been ripped off by. (This was yrs before scanners & upc codes). He said they had some speaker there who told them that eventually everyone would have to have their bank account # on their hand, it could be read at the check out line to confirm the $ was in the bank, then be automatically deducted. That way no bad checks could occur he said. BUT, he said that old people would have to have their acct # on their foreheads because of their skin!!!!!!!!! He went on to say that they would have to have a black light at the counter to read the actt #, that they were putting the mmark on so that it would be invisible except under black light. I was beside myself. But we do have upc codes & scanners now. Wouldnt take much more to do as the big business wants us to. Could appear as a UPC code where it has a few irrelevant numbers before our acct # , such as 666..... then your acct #. I don't know what 666 looks like in upc terms.

That is pretty amazing. I had always wondered what would cause some to take the mark on their forehead and not their hand.

I find it difficult to believe that any person has the ability to relate a specific event to prophecies in Revelation. People seem to do it over and over correlating different events.- And what happened to the coming like a thief in the night bit? I cant join in the paranoia.

I still believe Jesus will come like a theif in the night.

I just think a national ID card could turn into the mark of the beast.
