The ones i tried to join had zero tolerance for Christians. I hope you find something useful here.

There was a time, for a couple months, when I was the Marketing Manager for Atheism, World Wide (given the post by the then President of Atheists United).

I am a marketing guru, having introduced $6Bn of new product revenue to market with IBM.

Upon deep thought, while showing Atheists acting morally could open some believer's eyes, being a Missionizing Atheist is a losing proposition, so I resigned.

Angry Atheists are people I have difficulty coping with, but totally understand where they come from.

First, they know they are correct.

And, with some, an inflated sense of justice causes an abreaction, as they think, because they are correct, others ought to also recognize reality. They become "evangelists", giving testimony, preaching, and generally acting as someone they themselves would avoid like the plague.

There is nothing 'inherently evil' about religion.
'Believers' have faith, and that requires no evidence, so, messing with that belief is not just unproductive, it's frustrating and causes angst on both sides.

Since I know that faith (in higher powers generally, worldwide) is a key component of our survival/success as a species, I have no need to confront or argue about it.

I explain where it comes from, and I'm happy to defend my position, but, what one does with one's faith is their choice.

Being 'right' isn't worth squat when no logical argument or appeal to rationality can have any effect on one's audience, so, perhaps not having Mr. L here is no loss (for him or us).
