The fear of the Lord (introspection/extrospection) is the foundation of (practical) wisdom. Knowledge of the Holy One results in good judgment. Proverbs 9:10

Introspection- the examination or observation of one's own mental and emotional processes.

Extrospection- the consideration and observation of things external to the self; examination and study of externals.

Prudence/Circumspection- the quality of being wary and unwilling to take risks
Discretion- the quality of behaving or speaking in such a way as to avoid causing offense or revealing private information.

As you cultivate more wisdom you will start to see how valuable it is. As you broaden your perspectives, you can see many things/opportunities/outcomes that others can not see if they only look at their own view.

Psychology often falls short in this sense because everything is categorized and it doesn't take into account unforeseen behavioural reactions, events, or underlying circumstances. That's why wisdom is greater than knowledge.

"“I, wisdom, dwell with prudence,
And I find knowledge and discretion.
“The fear of the LORD is to hate evil;
Pride and arrogance and the evil way
And the perverted mouth, I hate.
“Counsel is mine and sound wisdom;
I am understanding, power is mine.
“By me kings reign,
And rulers decree justice.
“By me princes rule, and nobles,
All who judge rightly.
“I love those who love me;
And those who diligently seek me will find me" Proverbs 8:12-17 (Proverbs 8 Wisdom's call).

The reason Paul appears to contradict Himself, is because He's speaking to different audiences so as not to cause unnecessary offence through the written Gospel. All the Torah observers refuse to acknowledge the fact that even the elect Jews had knowledge of the futility of the Mosaic Law for justification, and justification comes by faith in the Spirit of grace in Christ Jesus so we might be slaves of Righteousness (to Christ) and not slaves condemned to the ministry of Death/Condemnation (in the Mosaic Law, which testifies of Jesus Christ's coming). Peter was AFRAID of the JEWISH circumcision!
1f602.png
1f62d.png
You gotta love everyone, Peter! Not JUST the voracious LAW keepers (who BREAK the LAW ALL DAY LONG by a mere act of favouritism! (James 2:8-13/Romans 14:1-13)
1f609.png

"But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed. For before that certain came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing them which were of the circumcision. And the other Jews dissembled likewise with him; insomuch that Barnabas also was carried away with their dissimulation. But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before them all, If thou, being a Jew, livest after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compellest thou the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?

We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles, Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid. For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor. For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God. I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain" Galatians 2:11-21

"For I tell you that Christ became a servant to the circumcised to show God's truthfulness, in order to confirm the promises given to the patriarchs, and in order that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy. As it is written,

“Therefore I will praise you among the Gentiles,
and sing to your name.”
And again it is said,

“Rejoice, O Gentiles, with his people.”
And again,

“Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles,
and let all the peoples extol him.”
And again Isaiah says,

“The root of Jesse will come,
even he who arises to rule the Gentiles;
in him will the Gentiles hope.”

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

Paul the Minister to the Gentiles
I myself am satisfied about you, my brothers, that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge and able to instruct one another. But on some points I have written to you very boldly by way of reminder, because of the grace given me by God to be a minister of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles in the priestly service of the gospel of God, so that the offering of the Gentiles may be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit. In Christ Jesus, then, I have reason to be proud of my work for God. For I will not venture to speak of anything except what Christ has accomplished through me to bring the Gentiles to obedience—by word and deed, by the power of signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God—so that from Jerusalem and all the way around to Illyricum I have fulfilled the ministry of the gospel of Christ; and thus I make it my ambition to preach the gospel, not where Christ has already been named, lest I build on someone else's foundation, but as it is written,

“Those who have NEVER been TOLD OF HIM will SEE,
and those who have NEVER HEARD will UNDERSTAND.” Romans 15:8-21

This testimony is TRUE, right out of the HOLY SCRIPTURES. REPENTANCE (Turning away from the former sin nature) is REQUIRED for SALVATION (Through GRACE). Follow the basic instructions in the BIBLE. Christ DID give COMMANDS. A believer cannot be false against the Truth.

"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth" 2 Timothy 2:15

The Holy Spirit CONVICTS the non-believer AND the CONVERT. There is NO ONE who is WITHOUT excuse! (Hebrews 10:15-18, Romans 2:1-16, John 16:5-16, John 14:15-26, Acts 10:44-48, Acts 19:1-7 (Speaking in Tongues, Baptism of WATER and FIRE in the Holy Spirit). Don't CONFUSE the voice of CONVICTION with the voice of ACCUSATION. This is all a SCRIPTURAL reminder. This is done out of LOVE for YESHUA.

Do not Grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed for the day of redemption (by a lack of REPENTANCE, by NOT TURNING AWAY from all SINFUL BEHAVIOR in the NEW CREATION, Ephesians 4:17-32). Be blessed in GRACE.

"Meanwhile, the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain Jesus had designated. When they saw Him, they worshiped Him, but some doubted.

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:16-20

"Later He appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen. And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” Mark 16:14-18

Vigilant self-criticism and introspection is a disciple's mentality. Just because one's conscience may be clean, does not mean that there are not areas that can be improved. One thing I've observed over the years is that it become's incredibly clear who does this, to what degree, and who does not do it at all. Oblivious individuals can be charming, but it's not so charming to those who by reason of use have trained their sensibilities to distinguish good from evil.

Reject false doctrines. "To have respect of persons is not good: for for a piece of bread that man will transgress." Proverbs 28:21. When it talks about riches or gain in the Word, it's not limited to monetary gain (although that IS the PRIMARY meaning), but can be ALL worldly gain! (Mammon- wealth regarded as an evil influence or false object of worship and devotion). "What will my 'friends' think of me if I say this, will they still 'like' me if I preach the Gospel that SAVES?!?" is one such example of "the pride of life".

"Let the lowly brother glory in his exaltation, but the rich in his humiliation, because as a flower of the field he will pass away. For no sooner has the sun risen with a burning heat than it withers the grass; its flower falls, and its beautiful appearance perishes. So the rich man also will fade away in his pursuits." James 1:9-11

"Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit”; whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away." James 4:13-14

"Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever." 1 John 2:15-17

"If anyone teaches otherwise and does not consent to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which accords with godliness, he is proud, knowing nothing, but is obsessed with disputes and arguments over words, from which come envy, strife, reviling, evil suspicions, useless wranglings of men of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. From such withdraw yourself.

Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content. But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows." 1 Timothy 6:3-10

"And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment, so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation" Hebrews 9:27-28

"For you yourselves are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying, “There is peace and security,” then sudden destruction will come upon them as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. But you are not in darkness, brothers, for that day to surprise you like a thief" 1 Thessalonians 5:2-4

It's a beautiful sunshiny day of GLORIOUS GRACE.

Halleluja

"For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works." A time to break down,
And a time to build up.

Yes. The Lord's discipline builds character, wisdom, steadfastness, and a firm foundation. (Matthew 7:24-27 (AMP), The Wise and Foolish builders of the two foundations).

"You have not yet struggled to the point of shedding blood in your striving against sin; and you have forgotten the divine word of encouragement which is addressed to you as sons,

“My son, do not make light of the discipline of the Lord,
And do not lose heart and give up when you are corrected by Him;

For the Lord disciplines and corrects those whom He loves,
And He punishes every son whom He receives and welcomes [to His heart].”

You must submit to [correction for the purpose of] discipline; God is dealing with you as with sons; for what son is there whom his father does not discipline? Now if you are exempt from correction and without discipline, in which all [of God’s children] share, then you are illegitimate children and not sons [at all]. Moreover, we have had earthly fathers who disciplined us, and we submitted and respected them [for training us]; shall we not much more willingly submit to the Father of spirits, and live [by learning from His discipline]? For our earthly fathers disciplined us for only a short time as seemed best to them; but He disciplines us for our good, so that we may share His holiness. For the time being no discipline brings joy, but seems sad and painful; yet to those who have been trained by it, afterwards it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness [right standing with God and a lifestyle and attitude that seeks conformity to God’s will and purpose]." Hebrews 12:4-11

#Trees #Roots #Fruits 37-minute video of EXCELLENT instruction.

Personal Feelings are weak. The Holy Spirit is strong. Which is the disciple's mind governed by? The Spirit or the flesh? On the spirit of OFFENSE.

"If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person's religion is worthless." James 1:26

"A brother offended is harder to be won than a strong city,
And contentions are like the bars of a citadel" Proverbs 18:19

"Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone" Colossians 4:6

"Pay careful attention, then, to how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is. Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to reckless indiscretion. Instead, be filled with the Spirit." Ephesians 5:15-18

"Make a tree good and its fruit will be good, or make a tree bad and its fruit will be bad; for a tree is known by its fruit. You BROOD of VIPERS, how can you who are evil say anything good? For out of the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks. The good man brings good things out of his good store of treasure, and the evil man brings evil things out of his evil store of treasure. But I tell you that men will give an account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken. For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.” Matthew 12:33-37

Something I felt the Lord wanted me to share today.

Why are words of knowledge so powerfully effective?

Say I have a huge burden on my chest and can't tell anyone, can't trust anyone, but I can't continue keeping it to myself or my life is forever miserable.

Now say a stranger comes in and precisely explains my struggles, and ushers me into an eternal solution through Jesus Christ.

Wouldn't that be bizarre? Wouldn't that be powerful? Wouldn't that be radical?

I think some people are drawn to disciple's who have the discernment to know what they are dealing with, without demanding that they be vulnerable with broken and hurt places that they have been running from.

Does not everyone wish that other people knew what they really want, without having to verbally express it? Be honest! Sometimes it would be nice if people could "read our minds". I think with God, all things are possible!

"Thus says the Lord:
“Cursed is the man who trusts in man
and makes flesh his strength,
whose heart turns away from the Lord.
He is like a shrub in the desert,
and shall not see any good come.
He shall dwell in the parched places of the wilderness,
in an uninhabited salt land.
“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,
whose trust is the Lord.
He is like a tree planted by water,
that sends out its roots by the stream,
and does not fear when heat comes,
for its leaves remain green,
and is not anxious in the year of drought,
for it does not cease to bear fruit.”
The HEART is DECEITFUL above ALL THINGS,
and DESPERATELY SICK;
who can understand it?
“I the Lord search the heart
and test the mind,
to give every man according to his ways,
according to the fruit of his deeds.”
Like the partridge that gathers a brood that she did not hatch,
so is he who gets riches but not by justice;
in the midst of his days they will leave him,
and at his end he will be a fool.
A glorious throne set on high from the beginning
is the place of our sanctuary.
O Lord, the hope of Israel,
all who forsake you shall be put to shame;
those who turn away from you shall be written in the earth,
for they have forsaken the Lord, the fountain of living water." Jeremiah 17:5-13

"If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate to be with you forever—the Spirit of truth. The world cannot receive Him, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. But you do know Him, for He abides with you and He will be in you.

I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. In a little while, the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you also will live. On that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you are in Me, and I am in you. Whoever has My commandments and keeps them is the one who loves Me. The one who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and reveal Myself to him.”

Judas (not Iscariot) asked Him, “Lord, why are You going to reveal Yourself to us and not to the world?”

Jesus replied, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make Our home with him. Whoever does not love Me does not keep My words. The word that you hear is not My own, but it is from the Father who sent Me.

All this I have spoken to you while I am still with you. But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have told you." John 14:15-26

“But when the Son of Man comes in His glory and majesty and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. All the nations will be gathered before Him [for judgment]; and He will separate them from one another, as a shepherd separates his sheep from the goats; and He will put the sheep on His right [the place of honor], and the goats on His left [the place of rejection].

“Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father [you favored of God, appointed to eternal salvation], inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; I was naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me [with help and ministering care]; I was in prison, and you came to Me [ignoring personal danger].’ Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink? And when did we see You as a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You? And when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ The King will answer and say to them, ‘I assure you and most solemnly say to you, to the extent that you did it for one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it for Me.’

“Then He will say to those on His left, ‘Leave Me, you cursed ones, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels (demons); for I was hungry, and you gave Me nothing to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me nothing to drink; I was a stranger, and you did not invite Me in; naked, and you did not clothe Me; sick, and in prison, and you did not visit Me [with help and ministering care].’ Then they also [in their turn] will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, or thirsty, or as a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister to You?’ Then He will reply to them, ‘I assure you and most solemnly say to you, to the extent that you did not do it for one of the least of these [my followers], you did not do it for Me.’ Then these [unbelieving people] will go away into eternal (unending) punishment, but those who are righteous and in right standing with God [will go, by His remarkable grace] into eternal (unending) life.”” Matthew 25:31-46 (The Final Judgment).
