my cheese slicer.

I was watching some kitchen hack vids the other day and one was on using hard butter on your toast because you forgot to take it out of the fridge. This would come in handle for that, slice off a thin slice of butter and put on toast and it would probably melt right away! :)

My Ninja with the processor attachment and mixer attachment - that is my favorite and now I can't see living without it. I love smoothies, and make my own bread crumbs, and use the mixer part since my handheld mixer died after 40 years.
I have a baby Cuisinart processor I love for mixing small stuff too little to use the large one. For smoothies I love my hand held blender stick, make smoothies, put in pot of cooked down tomatoes and mix right in the pot to make tomato sauce, thicken stews, and I also use is to 'puree' cottage cheese with flax seed oil, a mixture I make up for my doggie who has cancer, it helps to make the vitamins she takes be absorbed better. :)

My mother's old Oyster blender that I inherited. I've never found a blender that will crush up ice or frozen stuff better. Don't make them like this one anymore.
I've heard that! never had one but I do know I have an old oster jar with a screw on lid, must have come from one of those vintage ones I must have picked up at a yard sale or something. It has measurements on the side. :)

Toaster.

Matthew 6:11:
Give us this day our daily bread.
Everyone's always searching for the perfect toaster. :) I've been using a toaster oven for over two decades, my latest is a toaster/convection oven and it works great. I just came across my husbands mothers old toasters while cleaning out the basement the other day. It looks like the kind you used to put right on the stove but this one is electrified.

Like this one, but electric.

Just one?!! I love my Kitchen aid mixer---I bake all our own breads and stuff and my hands jut can't knead dough like I used to. Then my Vitamix--love it, I also have the blender jar for grinding flours--great--only does about 2 cups at a time, but that is perfect for what I use it for. My caste iron pans I love. My Food processor and I just got a mandolin that is great.
I've always wanted a Vitamix, could never afford one. I remember, decades ago seeing the full page ads on the back page of ladies magazines showing all they could do. I always wondered what it would be like to be able to make hot soup, grind my own grain, knead dough, and make ice cream with the same appliance! Guess I'll never know but that's OK, I can no longer eat wheat or most grains so that part is out. :)

The coffee grinder-- I think it does a superior job converting things into flours/powders, and the whole Vitamix isn't left to clean afterwards. :)
Yes, I've used mine for chopping nuts, spices and even egg shells (after washing) to put on my tomato plants. Handy things they are!

This rubber or silicone thing that opens hard to open jars. I dont know what its called. Its made by tupperware, and also their can opener. They make the best can opener.
Haven't been to a tupperware party in years so not sure what it is. I have one of these,

rubber-jar-opener.jpg
But have recently taken up canning and part of the kit I got had one of these handy tools to open the mason jars and could work on other jars as well.

It's silicone coating helps it to grip well and it will fit around just about any size jar!

My tupperware jar opener is just like a silcone square mat and you just grip the jar with it and it opens everytime.

My friend is swearing by her thermomix.
Its an appliance that cooks and mixes at the same time, and even gives cooking instructions.

I like kitchen life a lot better with my blender and my dehydrator. Smoothies are a staple in my house, and I often use the blender for pasta sauces and soups as well.

I dehydrate a lot of things as well. After dehydrating lemon, lime, orange and grapefruit peels (separately), I grind them up and put them in the freezer so that I have fresh zest on hand whenever I want it. I also dry strawberries and blueberries, which make great additions to oatmeal.

No I haven't, I think I'm afraid if I plug it in it will catch on fire! :)

Right now I have a new Toaster Convection oven and it toasts ok. I have been exploring a holder to hold toast after it's been toasted so that it won't sweat. I think those old ones worked better.

I find that recently I have stopped using most of my more technological kitchen gadgets, and relied pretty heavily on my more primitive ones. My knives and my mortar and pestle have become big parts of my kitchen usage. Or my wok. And those get a lot of love from me - both in terms of usage and upkeep, along with my cutting boards.

Though...I would hate to live without my rice cooker. Since I use it pretty much at least once a day, if not more.

My favorite kitchen appliance would be my rice cooker with a steaming basket. I use it daily. My second favorite would be my countertop convection oven. It's great for single portions and summers when I'm trying to save on energy since it doesn't heat up the house like a conventional oven.

I like my oven. I'm very anti-microwave, especially with the radiation and such. The oven is my preferred method of cooking something if the directions give that as an option. I don't care that it might take an hour in the oven for something that could take three minutes in the microwave. I tend to get things stuck to the pan or burn them if I cook things on the stove.

It can be an 'appliance' or Tool, just tell us what you wouldn't want to be without in your kitchen.

My favorite for years (I'm on my second one they last pretty long) is my handheld mixer.

This is great for getting any lumps out of gravy, making pureed soups without having to transfer to blender and back in the pan. Great for pumpkin or butternut squash soup. Can be used for baby food as well.

I also love it in the summer when the tomatoes are coming in, I cook my tomatoes down on stove or roast in oven with skins on and when done, just use this to quickly puree the sauce. It chopped up the skins with no problem and helps to enrich the sauce too. It may be pureed but it still has good thick body.

I also use to make smoothies.

Throw whatever you want in a glass it will fit in and give a quick whirl.

My latest consists of a bit of 1% milk, a sliced up banana, some Peanut butter powder (really great stuff) chia seeds, some hemp, Green Tea powder and my mashed up vitamins and suppliments.

It really tastes great and boosts the energy as long as I don't put in the garlic tablets I take, that doesn't go well in there.

After we retired we bought an older double wide on five acres. The previous owners had renovated the kitchen with hickory cabinets and real oak flooring. The kitchen looked great, but they had installed budget appliances. We stumbled through for a year or two and I decided to actually learn to cook.

I started by joining a wine club which provided recipes for meals for the wine to be served with. It didn't take long before I realized that none of the appliances or the tools we had were up to the job. Once again, the old saying that having the right tool for the job always makes the job not only easier but more professional.

Over the years we have replaced all the appliances and purchased tools to 'make the job easier'. That means I have a lot of things which would qualify as the best.

In thinking it over, I think the best appliance would have to be the induction cooktop. Hands down it is superior to both gas and regular resistance electric.

The best tool has got to be my chef knife. The knife I got off the Internet from a site which specializes in hand made knifes from the former Samurai District in Japan. It isn't anywhere near the most expensive...not even close. But it is superbly built with perfect balance and holds an edge well.

These are the two tools every cook uses the most. They should be the absolute best one can afford.

One of my best kitchen appliances is my favorite Mandoline slicer. I can be slicing, dicing, chopping, shredding or you want to julienne your veggies and fruits. It's working fine and I am really satisfied with these purchase, https://foodgear.org/best-mandoline-slicer-reviews/
