Only in modern history has it been taboo to speak about "God".
Where is this mythical taboo to be found?
As for the pledge prior to 1954 it read:
I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
The under god was inserted in 1954. Why not just go whole hog and demand school kids pledge allegiance to Protestant Jesus while we are at it?
Most atheist preach, why not pray?
Because we are atheist and prayer is a religious ritual? What does any of this have to do with compelling kids to insert even more religion into the pledge?
