Only in modern history has it been taboo to speak about "God".

Where is this mythical taboo to be found?

As for the pledge prior to 1954 it read:

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

The under god was inserted in 1954. Why not just go whole hog and demand school kids pledge allegiance to Protestant Jesus while we are at it?

Most atheist preach, why not pray?

Because we are atheist and prayer is a religious ritual? What does any of this have to do with compelling kids to insert even more religion into the pledge?

Fun fact: America is still the greatest nation on this earth.

Amen!!! God bless America, brother.

Hopefully there will be many of these at the march:

It is my opinion, lets put it to a vote... shall we?

To the second part, I am not asking you or anyone else to pledge alligence to a Protestant Jesus.

I don't have to stop because you don't like it. Too bad. That is the entire liberal agenda that gets to me. I hear nothing but preaching about tolerance and so on, except what I believe. I hope to have a voice again.

If he is unprepared to deal with that he should not have accepted a job where that is the norm.

Ohh, but mean while I'm a racist if I say something about Obama, and a sexist if I say anything about Hillary.

A minute ago you were being "oppressed", now it's just an opinion?
To the second part, I am not asking you or anyone else to pledge alligence to a Protestant Jesus.
Sure looks that way

No one is telling you you can't believe what you like. You sure seem determined to deny that opportunity to others, though.

You could be. Plenty are. Only you know if you're racist or sexist. You seem to be assuming an awful lot of what people think about you here.

ALERT: 'March 4 Trump' marches are scheduled nationwide this weekend in celebration of President Donald Trump making good on his campaign promises. Meanwhile, anti-Trump protesters are gearing up set to clash with these pro-Trump marches in an attempt to silence Trump supporters and wreck havoc on our First Amendment rights. Trump supporters need to get the word out, show up in droves and outnumber the anti-Trump provocateurs proving once again that the silent majority is not afraid to publicly support President Donald Trump. Please tell your friends, family and neighbors to check the 'March 4 Trump' website schedule to find nearby locations at Noon - Saturday, March 4, 2017 - Washington Monument to the "SPIRIT OF AMERICA RALLY"
Have fun

It has also been hard to get the word out about this march since social media has blacklisted it. The MSM sure isn't going to advocate it, and the left is back to their tricks.

yes, yes... everyone's out to get you...

Sure. Don't think the repeal of the first amendment will get much traction but lets go.

To the second part, I am not asking you or anyone else to pledge alligence to a Protestant Jesus.

It would seem you're dissatisfied with the amount of religion attached to the pledge, why not just go all the way?

I don't have to stop because you don't like it.

Nor have I asked you to stop....

That is the entire liberal agenda that gets to me. I hear nothing but preaching about tolerance and so on, except what I believe.

Your issue would be with individuals other than me if thats your gripe.

I hope to have a voice again.

If you chose not to voice your views, thats on you.
