I have said the Traditional Latin Mass for all of my many years of the priesthood. Back in the late 1980's, only a few priests were "permitted" to do do and there were few resources available to learn it. About the only visual help was the Fulton Sheen film from the 1940's describing the Mass. So, I trained under a few older priests during my seminary years....

Much of this continued through the 30s-40s and even 50s although some changes we taking place re: the laity. So it all reminds me very much of the time when I was growing up. During the 30s and early 40s there was a good choir with sung High Mass at 10:00. This was in a small town of 3500 with a large rural population.
