I am interested. Do you tithe? If so will you debate me on tithing (which I am critical of).

I am aware that there are no specific passages in the NT regarding tithing, but I do.

As I see it, I became "ingrafted" as "spiritual Israel". Israel still tithes.

No I will not debate it.

Israel does not tithe, neither do any Jew living in Israel today.

Old Testament law, required them to do so.

However, this is not OT times, the Priesthood isn't in effect, and there isn't a temple treasury as of yet.

And like I said, I will not debate this.

God Bless

Pentecostal was one of the last ones that enter my mind. In the UK the only Pentecostal churches near me are Charismatic/Prosperity Gospel plants.
Here in NYC where I live, there are a lot of Pentecostal churches, mostly Spanish, that are very legalistic/narrow in their ways of thinking. I don't go to one, as I consider myself more non-denominational than anything else, but I have friends that come from those backgrounds, and they've told me how strict those churches are. One of them even told me that when her friends from her old church saw her, they were surprised that she was still a Christian, all because she happened to have a nose piercing.

What about Ezekiel 16:12? :)

I belong to a private community with our church and it is Fundamentalist.

Fundie churches can be found on Google if they are public. They are called either Fundamentalist Christian Churches or Christian Fundamentalist Churches if they aren't private.

The closest denomination to us is Pentecostal or Freewill. However, we're not snake handlers, don't speak in tongues, don't believe the Earth is flat, we're not vegetarians, we don't pay any tithes or have our incomes moderated by the church, and we love all people of all faiths and don't judge.

The last time we had an issue with a snake resulted in Brother S taking care of that with his Mossberg 12-guage shotgun.

Folks, this thread had a clean up. This is the Fundamentalist Christian forum. This is a rule that applies to this forum:

Congregational Forum Restrictions
Members who do not truly share the core beliefs and teachings of a specific congregational forum may post in fellowship or ask questions, but they may not teach or debate within the forum.
What is absolutely NOT okay is insulting Fundamentalists in their congregational forum. Had this been noted earlier, some of you would be hearing from staff via warnings.

Any church sticking out in particular as the most attended one among fundies?

Please see the Statement of Purpose. Churches and/or Christians that fall in this group likely are Baptist, or Reformed, some Non-denominational, some Pentecostal churches, and some other Christian denominations that are from the Protestant movement.

When Abraham tithed what did he give back to "Melchizadek"?

I have a question which pertains to hearing about a warning weeks to days later

I know here is not the place to discuss it so where can I go to discuss this?

So sorry. I misunderstood your post. However, I just want to remind you that those born of GOD's SPIRIT are a priestly people who have entered into THE LORD's labor. And a priest did not have an inheritence in the things of the world. His inheritence is in THE LORD (tithes are not as we imagined them to be - that's why I pointed to Abraham and melchizadek's interaction)

I don't have a need to debate anything regarding fundamental truths

I have no problem with holding to THE FOUNDATION and HIM alone

Look for a church name like, "First River Church of Apostolic Jesusness."
The modern apostolic movement has little or nothing to do with the 5 Fundamentals of the Christian faith. That is where Fundamentalists get their "name."

Pentecostal seems likely.
Not quite. Possibly but not comprehensively.

As one poster mentioned there is no "Fundamentalist" denomination. Fundamentalism derived from a theological movement of the early 20th century.

Strange though
Fundies are mostly seen in Pentecostal type churches, yet when it comes to the salvational message followed, the denomination closest to them in thinking is Catholics
Yet, these are the two mainstream denominations that are supposed to be furthest apart doctrinally. If only they knew!
What do you think Fundamentalism is?

What do you think Fundamentalism is?
Let me further explain.
I responded to an altar call, in a church classed as fundamentalist when i was ten.
After five years in the church, what could i say of my experience:

I had felt alive, a normal happy kid before i responded to that altar call, for there was no condemnation then, the law had not come to me. But when it did come, sin consciousness sprang to life and I died / felt condemned. All manner of sin was aroused I me as I tried to justify my Christianity by living a good enough life for God( under his laws) fearing hell I i couldn't.
The good and holy laws of God, I believed would give me life, if I obeyed them, instead brought death/ condemnation because I could not keep them.
Sin, through the law slew me
Rom7:7-11

I had gone to a Christian church and tried to attain heaven as Saul the pharisee tried to attain it, and I got exactly the same result he got. It was a fundamentalist church
