I have recently gone into sport manga/anime and there is a new series called "All Out!" The manga has started since 2012 but the anime adaptation started in 2016.
The story is on rugby. It has hardly any vulgarity but not much about lovey-dovey. However it's more on relationships like coaches-and-trainees, teachers-and-students, fellow students-and-students, parents-and-children, etc. It's pretty much a shonen genre.
I don't usually read/watch sport series but this one gives a good feeling about how people interact with each other and how their lives intertwine with one another, and through rugby, people get closer to each other, even when they are their opponents and rivals.
I thought I will briefly state it here that you may take interest in it.
On another note, I notice some others have recommended series like "School Rumble" - I would strongly agree with them that this is a very good series. Years ago, it has filled me with lots and lots of laughter. It was definitely a good series of its time.
Another series which I have been following for ages is "Detective Conan." This is a very long ongoing series since 1994 but is still popular. It's like readers/viewers grow up with it (and the author).
Hmmm.. one more series - Assassination Classroom. This is a very interesting series. It's about how the students are "assigned by law" to kill their teacher. Well, it isn't violent as how the title and the basis of the story goes, but it's filled with a lot of emotions - laughter, anger, frustration, sadness, confusion, fear, and so on. This is one of my favourite series which I can read/watch and re-read/re-watch over and over again.
Well, I guess I will stop for a moment. Perhaps you may like to share some of the series you have watched or are currently watching, it will give us some idea of what your interest is. Concurrently, we don't have to repeat what you have watched before or are watching by recommending it to you again.
Be blessed!
