There is already a temple there that is the ultimate rejecting of the Lord Jesus's sacrifice. Heck it even declares that God has no son! That is the Dome of the Rock.

Muslims are infamous for converting Christian churches into Muslim shrines.

That is what Muslims did when they conquered Byzantine Christian Constantinople
[now Muslim Istanbul, Turkey.]

Byzantine Christians also ruled Jerusalem before the Muslim conquest.

The Dome of the Rock Muslim shrine on the Temple Mount has a Byzantine-design
octagon-shape foundation used in ancient Byzantine and other Eastern Orthodox
churches [iconic St Basil's in Moscow was built in an eight-pointed star design.]
Muslims claim they built the Dome of the Rock... but it is more likely they had
converted an already existing Byzantine church. It is especially likely that the
Dome of the Rock was originally a Byzantine Christian structure because the
Al Aqsa Mosque on the Temple Mount was built over the ruins of the Byzantine
Church of St Mary.

" The Church of St. Mary was a Byzantine church that was built in Jerusalem during the reign of Justinian and dedicated to the Virgin Mary. The church was located on the Temple Mount.

Byzantine historian Procopius wrote that the church was built in 560 AD and burned down by the Persians in 614. Later after the Muslim conquest of the Holy Land, this church eventually was converted into what is the present day Al-Aqsa Mosque. "

2 Thessalonians 2:3-5King James Version (KJV)

3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?

Because God's Christ-bearing people are living stones in God's Temple made without hands
and our bodies are temples of God's Holy Spirit [1 Corinthians 6:19]... I see this as related to
the unforgivable sin against God's Holy Spirit when antichrist secular humanism replaces God
in one's body temple.

I agree. But what you seem to not get is that there will be a physical temple built in Jerusalem. The Jews in Israel WILL build a physical temple. We know that they are Christ deniers. They do NOT recognize Christ as the temple so they are apostate. They will not think that building a physical temple is wrong. Get that! Stop arguing that Christ is the temple to us as if we don't know that. We know.

You know Jesus Christ is God's Temple made without hands.

But others who read my posts may not know.

Malachi 1:4 does say that Edom will try to rebuild the ruins [the ruins in this example would be Edomite Herod's temple.] God says Edom may build, but God will tear down. It was no coincidence that Paul quoted Malachi 1:2-3 in Romans 9:13.

1 - You are just implying on the scriptures that says, "He as god sitteth in the temple of God", so there for in order to do that there must be a rebuilt temple. That's an assumption. 2 - Lets say that if there were to be a rebuilt temple, why are you using these verses to assume it is the Jews? Who is Paul writing to in 1st and 2nd Thessalonians? Is it just Jews? I'm not trying to belittle or put you down in any way. I'm simply trying to wrap my head around where this Idea is found in scripture.

I think you very much want to put me down, but that is forgiven. The scripture I posted points to a temple. The Jews have already made preparations to rebuild their temple. It will be done whether we in the West approve or not.

As I posted previously... rebuilding Herod's temple would be the height of antichrist blasphemy.
It would be an abomination... the ultimate "abomination that makes desolate."

Per Luke 19:27, Christ's enemies are brought back to Jerusalem to be duly punished for their crimes. "His blood be on us and on our children" [Matthew 27:25.] Also crimes against God's people throughout history like when Edom allied with Babylon to destroy Jerusalem and the first temple.

Interesting. I really need to brush up on biblical eschatology.

Idk what to make of it
this yet.

I mean, Trump could be the Antichrist, but I've thought that the Antichrist is a person we wouldn't expect to be him.

Trump is certainly charismatic and egotistical, but I wouldn't go as far as to say he is the Antichrist yet, as there are/were lots of individuals who are/were believed to be the Antichrist.

Eight years ago, people were saying Obama was the Antichrist, and the same was with Reagan. I guess whoever is president will be accused of being the Antichrist.

I don't recall Obama or Reagan having so many antichrist traits. trump pretty much fulfils them all. you only have to see his speeches of how ONLY he, not GOD, He can save America. How long before he proclaims that he is GOD.

Honestly, I can him saying that. However, Hitler basically wanted to make Germany great again and thought he alone could make things better for the German people, but wasn't the Antichrist.

What is the scriptural support to show the Jews will rebuild the temple?

Revelation 11:1-3
Zechariah 1:12-16
Isaiah 44:28
Isaiah 64:11
Matthew 24:15
Ezekiel 8:16-18
Ezekiel 9:3-9
Zechariah 6:12-15
Zechariah 8:9

And the entire book of Haggai, which is the most detailed documentation of the 3rd temple.

In the link below is a list of all wars involving Israel since it became a nation again in 1948.

List of wars involving Israel - Wikipedia

Her two biggest wars were the War of Independence (1947-1949) and the Six-Day War (1967). Other than the tetrad blood moons, something significant happened resulting from those wars. Israel was reborn in 1948 and Israel occupies Jerusalem in 1967.

Their next war will be the their final war outside the tribulation. There will not be another tetrad for almost 500 years. What will come out of this is Jerusalem will finally be recognize by the international community as Israel's capital. When that happens, Israel will finally be allowed to build the next temple. What's been stopping the construction of a temple in Jerusalem the last 69 years is the Two-State Solution that recognizes both Israel and Palestine as two countries having to share Jerusalem. Right now, Trump is fighting the UN to end the Two-State solution and move the US embassy to Jerusalem.

This is where the war mentioned in Isaiah 26:15-18. This war is also covered in a few other scriptures but I'll refrain from writing too much and stay on this scripture for now. And no, it's not covered in Psalms 83. But I do want to add that when the next war happens, a lot of people especially on the internet will think it's Psalms 83. It's wrong and it's not.

Isaiah 26:15-18 New King James Version (NKJV)
15 You have increased the nation, O Lord,
You have increased the nation;
You are glorified;
You have expanded all the borders of the land.

16 Lord, in trouble they have visited You,
They poured out a prayer when Your chastening was upon them.
17 As a woman with child
Is in pain and cries out in her pangs,
When she draws near the time of her delivery,
So have we been in Your sight, O Lord.

18 We have been with child, we have been in pain;
We have, as it were, brought forth wind;
We have not accomplished any deliverance in the earth,
Nor have the inhabitants of the world fallen.

In the outcome, Israel will be victorious and will expand it's borders in all direction. Isaiah 26:15.

Isaiah 26:15 Good News Translation (GNT)
Lord, you have made our nation grow,
enlarging its territory on every side;
and this has brought you honor.

Isaiah 26:15 New Living Translation (NLT)
O Lord, you have made our nation great;
yes, you have made us great.
You have extended our borders,
and we give you the glory!

But Israel will suffer heavy casualties during this war. Isaiah 26:16-17.

Isaiah 26:16-17 New Living Translation (NLT)
16 Lord, in distress we searched for you.
We prayed beneath the burden of your discipline.
17 Just as a pregnant woman
writhes and cries out in pain as she gives birth,
so were we in your presence,Lord.

Isaiah 26:16-17 Good News Translation (GNT)
16 You punished your people,Lord,
and in anguish they prayed to you.
17 You, Lord, have made us cry out,
as a woman in labor cries out in pain.

Isaiah 26:18 will be harder for most readers to understand but at the end, victory will come to Israel. However, they didn't win the war for themselves and the people living in the countries they fight will be scattered to other parts of the Middle East.

Isaiah 26:18 (GNT) We were in pain and agony, but we gave birth to nothing. We have won no victory for our land; we have accomplished nothing.

Isaiah 26:18 (NRS) we were with child, we writhed, but we gave birth only to wind. We have won no victories on earth, and no one is born to inhabit the world.

Isaiah 26:18 (WYC) We have conceived, and we have as travailed of child, and we have childed the spirit of health; we did not rightfulness in (the) earth. Therefore the dwellers of [the] earth fell not down; (We have conceived, and we have laboured as with child, but we brought forth nothing but wind. We have not won any victory in the land, and the inhabitants of the earth have not fallen.)
As you can read from Isaiah 26:15-18, Israel praised God for her victory. But how will Israel win this coming war? This war that will produce the 7 year peace agreement and allow Jerusalem to be recognize by many as her capital and begin the construction of the 3rd temple.

Listen to Trump in the following videos. All are short except the last video. Around 25 minutes, but it's the most important video.

Trump stands behind Israel 100% and will defend Israel if she's attacked. America will help fight Israel's wars now and in the tribulation.

Also listen when Trump speaks about how to deal with the Palestinians. He said "we have to take them out." He doesn't believe Palestine can coexist with Israel because they are raised since age 2 to hate the Jews. That's his argument against the Two-State solution. So Trump will push for a war and will come to Israel's aid when they're attacked.

---------------------------------------------

Below are two videos from his speech at AIPAC. The first video is the full version about 24 minutes. I highly recommend watching this one.

This one is a shorter 5 minute version of the video above. Inspirational too if you love Israel.

God has led me on a journey of study in both the Bible and secular history
and specifically the study of ancient Babylon and Cyrus because they are
used symbolically in the book of Revelation. For example, Rev 16:12 refers
to drying up the Euphrates river for the kings of the east. According to
ancient Greek historians, drying up the Euphrates river at Babylon was Cyrus'
brilliant plan to conquer the city via a surprise invasion ["like a thief" Rev 16:15]
One fateful night, Cyrus' troops diverted the water of the Euphrates river and
secretly entered Babylon by going under Babylon's wall that was too strong
to overtly breach. Later, Cyrus himself made his triumphant entrance into
Babylon probably riding one of his special white horses Cyrus took with him
on his campaign against Babylon [Rev 19:11]. It was an earlier incident with
one of Cyrus' white horses that had given Cyrus the brilliant idea to divert
the water of the Euphrates. Revelation repeats this history in symbolic form
because Babylon is the symbolic name of the end-time evil empire and Cyrus
is an OT archetype of Christ.

Here is something else interesting that God showed me. Jeremiah 50 & 51
is prophecy of the fall of Babylon. The end of Jeremiah 51 says Jeremiah
told Seraiah when he arrives at the city of Babylon to read the prophecy,
weight it and throw the prophecy scroll into the Euphrates river so it will
sink to the bottom symbolizing the future fall of Babylon. That is all Jeremiah
tells us. But marry Jeremiah's words with secular history and symbolic imagery
is revealed. Jeremiah's prophecy scroll was at the bottom of the Euphrates river
at Babylon. Later Cyrus diverted the water and dried up that same part of the
Euphrates river at Babylon for his surprise invasion and conquest of Babylon.

Cyrus decreed a portion of the Israelites from Babylonian captivity return to
Jerusalem to rebuild the temple [Ezra 1.] The books of Ezra and Nehemiah
record that aftermath.

However, this time around "Babylon" is global. God's Temple is God incarnate,
Jesus Christ. God's Christ-bearing people are living stones in God's Temple
made without hands. God brings New Jerusalem down from heaven.

.

All the information about the 70 year Babylonian capitivity leading up to the construction of the 2nd temple is found from 2 Chronicles 36:13 to the end of the book of Nehemiah. I highly recommend reading this and than compare it to what's written in Jeremiah 25.

It's well worth reading if you want the actual historic account and I promise you'll not find any similarities in the information written from 1 Chronicles 36:13 to the end of Nehemiah when compared to Jeremiah 25 except a 70 year period.

The reason why there are two 70 year periods in Babylonia is because God is currently chastening the Kingdom of Israel before He gathers them back to the holy land to be with the Kingdom of Judah. Just as God disciplined the descendants of Judah, Benjamin and Levi during the 1st Babylonian captivity that ended around 530 BC before He lure them back to Israel announcing the construction of the 2nd temple, God is repeating the same process with the descendants from the Kingdom of Israel. After 70 years, the construction of the 3rd temple will begin with the foundation. War will also break out in other parts of the Middle East where they reside. They will be forced to live their homes. Antisemitism will rise. Israel will open it's doors to welcome them. Their best alternative would be to go home to Israel after 2700 years since the Assyrian exile and help finish construction of the 3rd temple.

The first 70 years is in 2 Chronicles 36:21. This is the historic account of the descendants of Judah, Benjamin and Levi.

2 Chronicles 36:21 New King James Version (NKJV)
to fulfill the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed her Sabbaths. As long as she lay desolate she kept Sabbath, to fulfill seventy years.

The second 70 years is in Jeremiah 25:11-12. This is a prophecy about the descendants of the Kingdom of Israel. If you read verse 12, Jeremiah said God will punish the King of Babylon and that nation. This never happened following the 70 years when the Babylonian captivity ended in 530 BC.

Jeremiah 25:11-12 New King James Version (NKJV)
11 And this whole land shall be a desolation and an astonishment, and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years.
12 ‘Then it will come to pass, when seventy years are completed, that I will punish the king of Babylon and that nation, the land of the Chaldeans, for their iniquity,’ says the Lord; ‘and I will make it a perpetual desolation.

In fact, the opposite happened as God blessed Cyrus who was the Babylonian king at that time after the 70 year capitivty and inspired him to build God's temple.

2 Chronicles 36:21-23 New King James Version (NKJV)
21 to fulfill the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed her Sabbaths. As long as she lay desolate she kept Sabbath, to fulfill seventy years.

22 Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the Lord stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, so that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and also put it in writing, saying,

23 Thus says Cyrus king of Persia:

All the kingdoms of the earth the Lord God of heaven has given me. And He has commanded me to build Him a house at Jerusalem which is in Judah. Who is among you of all His people? May the Lord his God be with him, and let him go up!

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Now if you read Jeremiah 25, it's about God and the tribulation after 70 years. It reveals God destroying all the Islamic countries throughout the
Middle East, even Israel, and the world. This never happened any time during and after the first Babylonian captivity.

Jeremiah 25:12-33 Good News Translation (GNT)
12 After that I will punish Babylonia and its king for their sin. I will destroy that country and leave it in ruins forever. 13 I will punish Babylonia with all the disasters that I threatened to bring on the nations when I spoke through Jeremiah—all the disasters recorded in this book. 14 I will pay the Babylonians back for what they have done, and many nations and great kings will make slaves of them.’”

15 The Lord, the God of Israel, said to me, “Here is a wine cup filled with my anger. Take it to all the nations to whom I send you, and make them drink from it. 16 When they drink from it, they will stagger and go out of their minds because of the war I am sending against them.”

17 So I took the cup from the Lord's hand, gave it to all the nations to whom the Lord had sent me, and made them drink from it. 18 Jerusalem and all the towns of Judah, together with its kings and leaders, were made to drink from it, so that they would become a desert, a terrible and shocking sight, and so that people would use their name as a curse—as they still do.

19-26 Here is the list of all the others who had to drink from the cup:

the king of Egypt, his officials and leaders;
all the Egyptians and all the foreigners in Egypt;
all the kings of the land of Uz;
all the kings of the Philistine cities of Ashkelon, Gaza, Ekron, and what remains of Ashdod;
all the people of Edom, Moab, and Ammon;
all the kings of Tyre and Sidon;
all the kings of the Mediterranean lands;
the cities of Dedan, Tema, and Buz;
all the people who cut their hair short;
all the kings of Arabia;
all the kings of the desert tribes;
all the kings of Zimri, Elam, and Media;
all the kings of the north, far and near, one after another.

Every nation on the face of the earth had to drink from it. Last of all, the king of Babylonia will drink from it.

27 Then the Lord said to me, “Tell the people that I, the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, am commanding them to drink until they are drunk and vomit, until they fall down and cannot get up, because of the war that I am sending against them. 28 And if they refuse to take the cup from your hand and drink from it, then tell them that the Lord Almighty has said that they will still have to drink from it. 29 I will begin my work of destruction in my own city. Do they think they will go unpunished? No, they will be punished, for I am going to send war on all the people on earth. I, the Lord Almighty, have spoken.

30 “You, Jeremiah, must proclaim everything I have said. You must tell these people,

‘The Lord will roar from heaven
and thunder from the heights of heaven.
He will roar against his people;
he will shout like a man treading grapes.
Everyone on earth will hear him,
31 and the sound will echo to the ends of the earth.
The Lord has a case against the nations.
He will bring all people to trial
and put the wicked to death.
The Lord has spoken.’”

32 The Lord Almighty says that disaster is coming on one nation after another, and a great storm is gathering at the far ends of the earth. 33 On that day the bodies of those whom the Lord has killed will lie scattered from one end of the earth to the other. No one will mourn for them, and they will not be taken away and buried. They will lie on the ground like piles of manure.

Jer 25:12-33 NKJV;GNT - ‘Then it will come to pass, when - Bible Gateway

Jeremiah 25 is one of six prophecies in the bible (OT) that literally tells you the tribulation will upon the world after 70 years.

It's 70 years (a Generation) from the budding of the Fig Tree (Israel 1948, Matthew 24:32-35) and 50 years (a Jubilee) from the Six-Day war (1967). Use the Jewish calendar, not the Gregorian.

You don't have to reply. I'm just letting everyone know, there's no similarities between Jeremiah 25 and the first Babylonian captivity, except a period of 70 years.

If a new temple structure is built on the Temple Mount, it would be the fourth temple, not the third.

1st temple = Solomon's temple

2nd temple = Cyrus' decreed temple built after the return from Babylonian captivity.

3rd temple = Herod's temple built around the time of Christ. Herod totally tore down the 2nd temple, even removing the foundation stones and grading the land to rebuild his new 3rd temple. It was Herod's 3rd temple that Jesus said would be destroyed and it was in 70AD.

Speaking of another 70 years... it is interesting that Herod allied with Rome and conquered Jerusalem in 37BC. Rome declared Herod [who was Edomite, not Israelite] king of Judea. Herod murdered the Israelite royal heirs, totally destroyed the second temple and tried to murder God's Temple made without hands, the Christ child. Herod destroyed the last Kingdom of Israel and disinherited Israelites in their own land. Ironically, 37BC [date Herod conquered Jerusalem] to 33AD [likely date of Christ's crucifixion and resurrection] is about 70 years [not sure how the year zero figures into the math.]

The construction of the 2nd temple began under the decree of King Cyrus and wasn't completely finished until several hundred years later under numerous renovations that lasted till the time of Herod and finally completed around 40 AD. It's the same temple but had to be rebuilt numerous times.

Please read 2 Chronicles 36:13 to the end of the book of Nehemiah.

Jewish eschatology includes a belief that the Second Temple will be replaced by a future Third Temple.

The Temple Institute, known in Hebrew as Machon HaMikdash (Hebrew: מכון המקדש‎‎), is an organization in Israel focusing on the endeavor of establishing the Third Temple. Its long-term aims are to build the third Jewish temple on the Temple Mount, on the site currently occupied by the Dome of the Rock, and to reinstate sacrificial worship.

I don't think it has any effect on prophecy at all. Israel says it's the capital-its the capital. Thinking God cares if we (the United States) recognizes that or not is to think the choice is ours and not God's. It's very USA centric and in a way puts the USA in God's role. It's that self righteousness and ego that has helped contribute to the mess in the Middle East.

The USA should have an embassy in Jerusalem because that is the primary destination of Americans traveling to Israel - Christian, Jewish, and Muslim Americans.

The construction of the 2nd temple began under the decree of King Cyrus and wasn't completely finished until several hundred years later under numerous renovations that lasted till the time of Herod and finally completed around 40 AD.

No that is not true.

King Cyrus decreed the second temple be built and King Darius finished the temple.

" ... And they builded, and finished it, according to the commandment of the God of Israel, and according to the commandment of Cyrus, and Darius, and Artaxerxes king of Persia. And this house was finished on the third day of the month Adar, which was in the sixth year of the reign of Darius the king."

Ezra 6:14-15

Per Josephus [1st century Roman-Jewish historian], Herod totally tore down the second temple, removed the foundation stones and rebuilt a totally new temple, This was Herod's third temple.

" So Herod took away the old foundations, and laid others, and erected the temple upon them "

Antiquities of the Jews — Book XV Chapter 11 - 3

I already know about Ezra 6:14-15. That was just the sanctuary that was completed. The actual temple as a whole continued with additional constructions adding walls, courtyards, gates and buildings and further expansions.

The actual year it was finally completed was 64 AD. I just wanna correct a mistake I made yesterday thinking around 40 AD.

No it's not a completely new temple. As I've said, the 2nd temple went through many reconstructions and renovations but even after Herod's work, it's not considered a 3rd temple. The foundation under the sanctuary was just elevated. Herod added additional foundations and increased the size of the whole temple. He did renovate the sanctuary but he did not build a completely new one.

In Herod's own words, he called it something to the extent of reconstruction and renovation project, not a new temple.

Herod even said himself, that it was only intended to be regarded as an enlarging and further beautifying of that of Zerubbabel’s.

Now if anyone on earth knows exactly which temple is next to be built, it would be the Temple Institute.

THIS SITE TELLS THE STORY OF THE HOLY TEMPLE in words and pictures. It is a story that spans the millennia, from the beginning of creation, to the establishment of the Third Holy Temple, as foretold by every prophet of Israel. Thus, it is a story still unfolding, the most exciting chapters being written now, in our own times.

The Temple Institute: ~The Holy Temple in Jerusalem: Yesterday Tomorrow Today

Thus, it certainly stands to reason that the Third Temple could be rebuilt today in Jerusalem even before the messiah arrives. This would concur precisely with the opinion of the sages of Israel recorded in the Jerusalem Talmud:

The Temple Institute: Articles: Which Comes First, the Messiah or the Temple?

Because it's the Temple Institute that is making all the preparations getting everything ready for the third temple.
