Jane Eyre is plain and doesn't have a whole lot going on in the personality department (to the casual observer), yet she finds true love and is loved by a magnificent man. She stands up for what she believes in, even though it meant losing her love for a time. She never stopped loving him through it all.

Jo March is a writer, she wants to help her family. She is prickly, but softens over time. She could have married well, but chooses a penniless professor instead. I just like Victorian books.

I'm not 50 years old, I look at thread titles rather than forums. Lol. I was looking for this thread in Singles since I saw you post there. Thank you. I'm not a natural red head (I had a little red) but I am on the inside if that counts.
