In other words he wanted her to do what scientists are supposed to do, to try to find flaws in her work. He thought it meant that she was supposed to prove herself wrong and that she had failed if she couldn't.

A wise scientist will try to prove himself wrong because it is without a doubt that once he or she publishes that others will be trying to prove that scientist wrong.

Jesus died in AD 33.

That gave the Levites 37 years to retire comfortably.

As the time approached, Paul took action and wrote the book of Hebrews anonymously (circa AD 64).

The book of Hebrews, a last attempt at "waking up" the Levites, compares Jesus Christ to the Levitical priesthood, and shows Him as the Way, the Truth, and the Life; just as the book of Romans compares Jesus Christ to the Law, and shows Him as the Way, the Truth, and the Life.

But alas, they still wouldn't listen ... and the rest, as they say, is history.
