blondie, i think most of us agree that sickness is ONLY SOMETIMES the DIRECT result of a spirit. the gen agreement among healing evangelists is that it is usu in the case of incurable diseases (like cancer) that a spirit is behind it.

Andrew maybe I misunderstood ur earlier posts?  I was under the assumption that u felt all sickness was due to a spirit?  Forgive me if i misunderstood u.

This post is upsetting. Demons do not cause illness. YOU ALL WILL GET ILL AND WILL DIE ONE DAY! (unless you are Raptured) Good Christians GOT ILL AND DIED BEFORE YOU.

You almost sound like a bunch of New Agers that think positive thinking will cure all illnesses.

Illness and disease is part of natural world, even here because of sin but it doesnt mean that the individual sick person is full of demons.

You know to read this garbage as a disabled person makes me ill.

Budge,

Why are you over-reacting? Some illnesses/infirmities (I said some, not all) are caused by demons. This is a truth based on scriptures.

Mr 9:25 When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.

Ac 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.

Lu 13:16 And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?

no one is saying that you're full of demons just becos you are disabled, so dont get upset for nothing.

YOU ALL WILL GET ILL AND WILL DIE ONE DAY!

and pls dont curse us with statements like that.

Psalm 91:
2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

Is everyone here a WOFer or prosperity gospel Christian?

its a false gospel.

and yes everyone will die and get sick one day, it is not a curse, it is the real world.

You hopefully will be alive with Christ in heaven but physical death before the Rapture occurs is A REALITY.

Jesus delivered possessed people from the Devil and yes that happens

But even Paul had health problems.

I keep seeing all these WOF posts on here that really freak me out and I think thats for a reason. God isnt your genie. Being a Christian doesnt mean perfect health and wealth.

I tried talking to them too, Budge. Some of what they say has a small measure of truth, but most of it is preposterous, and judgemental of sick people.

I can't help but think of my ancestors, and how their HOPE was NEVER in this world! This world was never their home!! And they ARE home now, in the everlasting arms of Jesus. And yes, they had to die to get there, usually of illness or accident. But that was their hope all along, to go to be with HIM.

Many of you are way too focused on this short life. Dust to dust, ashes to ashes. Get over it.

John 10:10 The thief's purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give life in all its fullness.

Our bodies are the temple of God and sickness does destroy that temple and can severly restrain the fullness of life.

I've always been taught that the Old Testament is our school teacher. If that is so, then why do we have such a hard time seeing sickness caused from a curse? I realize we are not under the law, but does that mean we totally wipe away the old testament and don't apply anything, including scripture?

Unless the Lord returns before, when it is my time to die in the flesh, I will die in the flesh.

What I am concentrating most on in this life is God and what He has for me to do. I am doing it with diligence. I don't plan to allow the enemy to get in the way by causing me to become sick and/or injured in some accident.

No, I don't believe every sickness is directly caused by a demon. I do however believe that ALL sickness came into being due to Adams fall. There was NO sickness before the fall so it has to be because of the fall.

I pray and incourage those who are ill. I do not judge them because on occasion I am there with them. However, I also do not allow the sickness to overcome me and keep me from doing what God has called me to do. And while I am keeping busy I trust Him for healing. Until then, I just keep busy and don't feel sorry for myself as I sometimes tend to do.

When I am ill, I seek out those who will pray for me in faith. Yes, sometimes I get offended, but when I become offended by the Word of God, then I needed to be offended. It changed me.

I would rather have someone pray for me who will instigate me to faith, instead of someone who just wallows in the mire with me and helps me stay in my pity party.

That's my opinion anyway. :)

I'm sorry you felt judged Budge. . .we are not judging you or anyone else in this forum. Really!
