So i often sit in the conservatory looking out across the feilds and do a little reflecting on different things

Today as i watched the horses in the fields the naked trees gently swaying in the breeze and the low winter sun shining on the wild plants and grass bring much needed colour to the scene. I asked myself why would lucifer want to destroy such beauty and i began to think he is the most beautiful angel God had created then i thought it is his vanity he wants to destroy all that is beautifull so that he appears more radient and this is why he hates human beings so much because even though he was the most magnificant angel God ever created... human beings are infinitely more beautiful because unlike the angels we are made in the image and likeness of God we share the beauty of the creator something lucifer would nor will ever have. So he seeks to pervert our god given image into something grotesque and ugly and who can deny he has done a good job of it. Wars and greed abortion the horrendus rejection of our God given gender and the mutilation of our own bodies in response. But i believe Lucifer due to his magnificence and resulting vanity can never make humanity as ugly as he because even in our own wickedness and ugliness we will always be intrinsically created in the image and likeness of God

interesting. God creates, while satan cannot create but can ony try to obscure or destroy that which is created.
and even at that he fails.

Only the creator can also destroy,
and that was on a limited basis, and only happened once.

After that came God's mercy.

It is because of God's mercy that satan fails in his quest.

God often speaks to us through nature, as I too have learned. So many lessons from gardening. He meets us where we are and uses many parables. I'm glad you were in tune with His love this morning.
Today happens to be the feast of St. Andrew, apostle.
From today's responsorial psalm:
R. Your words, Lord, are Spirit and life.
They are more precious than gold,
than a heap of purest gold;
Sweeter also than syrup
or honey from the comb.
