God is in control of everything. He has his reasons. I don't presume to figure them out. His thoughts are His. Not ours.
He knew it would come to what it came to with WWII. He let it happen and then He made a way out. We don't have to like it. We just have to have faith in Him, that it is for our good. It was.

Someone might say that was God's way of reconstituting a new nation of Israel. Pretty tough way of doing it, but maybe that's what it took.

Thus, even North Korea is better than south Sudan or Yemen for the purposes of the Holy Spirit. So any king who maintains order is usable by the Holy Spirit. So in that way, "obey the king" continues to be a viable instruction to the Body of Christ.

The title of the thread assumes that progress was made. The facts on the ground indicate that NO PROGRESS WAS MADE in any aspect of governance. For details go to ZeroHedge.com where they have discussed this in detail. So basically it is now a matter of restoring what was lost through retrogression.

Repeal of don't ask don't tell is progress, gay marriage was progress. The economy progressed. Our international clout was partially restored.

A lot of the backlash is simply because it isn't as good as it could have been, and because some people are under the illusion that blue collar jobs can be brought back.

There hasn't been much progress over the last 8 years, but there has been degeneration. Unfortunately, two degenerates ran, and only one of them at a time could be defeated. I really don't know how much Trump will care to improve things.

Sorry, but none of that is progress, and the economy went down the tubes. There are some telling charts published by ZeroHedge recently that expose the fallacy of economic progress under Obama. As to international clout, America is currently the laughingstock of the world, and no one respects Obama or Kerry.
