The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. Great to hear you are fine. I'm reasonable as well. A bit short on sleep the last few days again which is a pity and my wife has gone out for the weekend with some friends and wont be back till tomorrow so I'm rather lonely here. Our daughter Sam we brought to a good friend as I'm to unwell to look after her as well a lot of the time, so only Shadow and myself are here and she is fast asleep behind me.

my brother wants me to apply for a job that starts at 5 am "to feel better about myself" and "doesn't matter if I like the hours or not, I have to apply". And to stop agreeing with everything people say, but if I don't agree, I'll just get yelled at.

Lately I have finally been coming to terms with myself. My past is bothering me less and less. My anger towards God has been subsiding. Life is slowly getting better though I still have some more work to do. At the rate this world is going, it won't be long until God calls us all up. I am comforted by His word.
I just want to thank you all for your support, especially @grandvizier1006 ,@Tempura ,@Jeshu and @W2L . Thank you all for your patience and loving support.

Had a fight with my mom. I got fed up with her commenting on my food intake, controlling when I go to bed/wake up, among other things.

I' m so upset my dear brothers and sister that they did this to us here.
Our hurting brother is right when he says this place is ruled wrongly. It tramples on peaples heart and doesn't love true whatsoever. They only think about themselves and their own interests. This site is one big lie. They don't know how to love or give mercy.
All I can do is cry all day long.

i didnt sleep last night, even with ambien. i have to call in a prescrition refill for it today and i dont think they'll fill it because i was doubling up on it and ran out early.

Wow you'r not sleeping on doubled up Ambien? Something is really wrong. Are you taking anything else? Over the counter or otherwise. The only reason I ask is because I could do nothing to get sleep when I was detoxing from opiates. I'm certainly not implying that is what;s happening with you but knowing if there is anything you have taken or stopped taking recently could give some insight into why you can't sleep even with meds.
If you feel like there is something you don't want to share out in the open, feel free to message me. I would like to help if I can. I am no doctor but I am no stranger to pharmacology. I have been on many prescription and non prescription pharmacological substances.
