When people attempt suicide, accessibility is a major factor. A gun in the drawer is a much greater risk than a high bridge five miles away. So is lethality of the method (obviously a much higher rate of success with guns), and the ability to change one's mind mid-attempt is no longer an option, as with pills, cutting, CO poisoning. There is little to no chance for rescue. So, yes, suicide with guns should be included in the number of gun deaths. It makes absolutely no sense not to.

Hillary included suicides for a reason. She intends to do something about it via new regulations. She was sending a message loud and clear that suicide by gun will not be tolerated by her administration. Other means, which represent 55 percent of suicides, are ok.
