• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

My thoughts have become so terrible and I'm really worried. The thoughts think about selling my soul which I would never do and these thoughts are so bad and they feel so real. I have a question and it's, is my soul still with God, and will I be ok even if I keep on having these thoughts? I love you all and God bless

Jesus loves you more than you will ever know. If there was a time that you accepted Him as savior and believed in Him, you can NEVER fall from His hand. His word says so. It is an impossibility. He died for past present and future sins. When God looks at you it is no longer you He see's, but His Son...perfect in every way. You are covered from head to toe by the blood of Jesus, the most powerful substance in the universe. He knows your weaknesses...all of them. He knew what He was getting when He sought you out. He is not surprised by anything. He loves you wih ALL of your imperfections (and I do mean ALL). Please never forget that you have a real enemy who is out to destroy your life in every way. Do not discount satans role in these thoughts. Remember Jesus was tempted as well. The difference is He knows the truth and believed it. Please do not forget, if you believe in Jesus you are saved. Please read Romans 10:9-11. You will not be put to shame...period.

Ezekiel 18:4 Behold, all souls are Mine; the soul of the father as well as the soul of the son is Mine.

IOW, you cannot "sell" your soul; it isn't yours to sell. What may you give in exchange for your soul? It is God alone Who will require it of you. It is God's alone to judge, and just as the soul that sins will die, as it is written, the righteous soul will live.

If you belong to Christ, then your righteousness is of Him. You are in His hands, and none can snatch you from His grasp. Do not worry about selling your soul in the throes of OCD. Worry instead about letting yourself be drawn away from Christ by the allures of the world. Cling to Christ alone; pursue Him first above all else. He is a treasure worth infinitely more than all the riches of the world combined, and He will NEVER fail you, neither will your soul slip through His fingers. You are safe in His grip, dear heart.

May His peace be your armor and dwelling.
