Sorry you are going through this. I have struggled with depression for years and wanted to kill myself countless times. It is so hard. One thing that is encouraging to me is that I don't always stay in that state for long, usually it gets better. It seems that faith makes the lows seem less low, before I was a Christian I would stay depressed for months and months, now I rebound out of it much faster.

What is bothering you specifically?

*hugs* No matter what, killing yourself isn't the answer. Is there anything specific you'd like to talk to us about?

So sorry my friend. I've been there quite a bit recently. Actually started to hang myself today, but was interrupted... Thankfully! I had prayed a lot about it earlier, on here and by myself and elsewhere! By the end of today everything had turned around. I pray God forgives my impatience for his works, but he does help. It's good you are here, I will pray for you with all my heart, you pray too buddy. I hope things start to look up.

Suicide is a permanent answer to a temporary condition.

When you wish to still your existence, you rob the whole world of what you have been.

Don't do that.

I’m so sorry that you’ve been struggling with feelings of depression. I’m also concerned to know that you really don’t feel like living anymore. Please get some help right away -- tell someone who can assist you with how you are feeling. Have you considered talking to your family or friends – anyone you trust? May be it can help you? Also, the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline operates toll-free, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Just call 1-800-273-TALK. Their TTY number is 1-800-799-4TTY. Don’t carry your burdens alone. I’m sorry to read about the feelings you’ve been battling. Human emotions are complex, it’s hard to sort through them to determine why we feel the way we do. I’ve struggled with depression and anxiety, so I understand how you feel. Do you have the time to read? You might find this book helpful -- Hope Again: A 30-Day Plan for Conquering Depression, by Mark Sutton. It’s available through online bookstores. Let me know if you need help finding it. In the meantime, I will be praying for you, that God will open the doors to a new sense of peace, rest, and hope as you trust in His ever-present care.
