What does Jesus Christ say the requirements are?

It is not us (Christians) who decide. Jesus decides.
I agree, but, I would also add the 'Father'.

JOH 6:44 No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him;

MAT 16:17 And Jesus answered him, "Blessed are you, Simon BarJona! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven.

Hey Tuck.. I agree with what you say but who ever calls on the name of the lord shall be saved... saying "remember me when you come into your kingdom" was enough. Never confessed Him to anyone.. never baptized.

Your just walking through a door. Your in or out period. When Christ said it "John 3:16-17" and then died and rose then the 12 the 120/3000 there was not ACTS so forth so on. Nothing has changed nothing ADDED to it. WE have added more to it. Things you have to do to say so for so on.

Jesus is REAL! So He really truly is there comes into your heart and what HE starts HE will finish.

Never confessed Him to anyone..
How many millions of people have heard his testimony by now ?

How many heard him while he was being crucified (pretty awesome testimony while dying instead of whining to testify - Yeshua you are Messiah, Savior, King! - )

still does not prove the word "backslide" is in those verses.
you have to define the meaning first before you quote verses.

It is a well known and used Christian term, based on scripture.

Jas 5:19 Brethren, if any among you may go astray from the truth, and any one may turn him back,
Jas 5:20 let him know that he who did turn back a sinner from the straying of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall cover a multitude of sins.

Psa_26:1 By David. Judge me, O Yehovah, for I in mine integrity have walked, And in Yehovah I have trusted, I slide not.
Psa_37:31 The law of his God is his heart, His steps do not slide.

Isa 42:2 He doth not cry, nor lift up, Nor cause his voice to be heard, in the street.
Isa 42:3 A bruised reed he breaketh not, And dim flax he quencheth not, To truth he bringeth forth judgment.

You're straining at the gnat. The verse in James 5 is talking about straying from the truth. If you require the word "backslide" itself to appear in the passage in order to know that is the topic being discussed then you're not going to find it.

The parable of the prodigal son speaks of the same thing. Prodigal is not written as backslide. However, the parable speaks of the same thing.

Straying from the truth is backsliding.
God doesn't give up on us just because we might wander from the path. We are eternally his. And the truth of Jesus vows no one can take us from his hand.
We may fall from the truth but we are always welcomed home.

The prodigal son,
for example.... he was welcome home with rejoicing and open arms, right ?

So then, you don't have a bible or internet ,
or just haven't read it yourself ?
Right back at you.

And I'm on this forum so it is kind of a ridiculous thing to propose I don't have Internet.

I'm not sure, but didn't he agree with you in post #110? Why are you two butting heads?

Requirements for being a Christian:
  • Repent
  • Profess your belief
  • Be baptized

If it's a child being baptized who is too young to repent and profess, the parents take the baptismal vows for them until they are old enough to do so themselves

What do you believe are the minimal requirements for one to be considered a Christian and to recieve the Divine benefits that are promised to those that call Lord Jesus their Lord and Savior?

It seems to me that one has to publicly declare Lord Jesus their Lord and Savior, they have to confess their sins, and they have to be baptized in the name of Lord Jesus to even start to be considered a Christian and receive the Divine benefits. But are there other things that absolutely have to be done for one to be considered a Christian and to receive the Divine benefits promised to those that call Lord Jesus their Lord and Savior?

To me if one has publicly declared Lord Jesus their Lord and Savior, has confessed their sins to Lord Jesus and asked for forgiveness, and has been baptized, then they are a Christian. From there I am not sure where things go. It seems to me that as long as you do not sin against the Holy Spirit and that you are not bullheadedly willful about your sins that everything can eventually be worked out so that one can/will recieve the Divine benefits that are promised to those who declare Lord Jesus their Lord and Savior.

What do you believe about what minimally needs to be done to be considered a Christian and to recieve the benefits that are promised to those that call Lord Jesus their Lord and Savior?
there are zero requirements cause the elects couldnt do anything before birth
