sweet, good to see others who enjoy it too! my favorites are salsa and bolero but I also do bachata and merengue and other freestyle stuff. folk dancing is really cool too.
@TheRealAriel Swing looks fun, I'd like to get into it myself.
I literally cannot remember a time in my life when I didn't passionately love dancing. I started dance classes as a toddler, but my mom said I started dancing around the same time I began crawling, haha.
I think partner dance is one of the most beautiful forms of social interaction. I had an ugly hand-size bruise on my neck for a bit from repeatedly practicing the neck drop with my salsa partner (he was at no fault whatsoever) until we mastered it, and that caused a bit of but beyond that I've never experienced any controversy from dancing.
@Stanfordella nice, you are probably a fun partner to dance with. nothing like getting lost in the flow, especially when you have someone that can keep up.
I do not want to answer because it is too controversial and controversy is of the devil which means dancing is of the devil. Just kidding, I like to dance when I have somebody who likes it also but I don't dance to rock and roll as it is the devils music and to controversial, once again, just kidding but I do prefer 2 step if I have to dance.
Me? I don't dance, well I don't try to dance seriously. Get a couple drinks in me and I might do my best attempt at the robot for the laughs, but that's because my natural disposition is that of a clown and to make others laugh. I'm 6'2 and weigh over 300 lbs and completely uncoordinated--dancing simply isn't the sort of thing I should be doing to impress fellow human beings.
Well I danced today because I was teaching children the Bible and they just twirled round and round till they were dizzy.
The song is 'God's love goes on and on' so basically the action is the infinity sign but the boys really like spinning round and round without stopping. So I let them do that.
