Well there ya go. You got four pages of advice from all single people who haven't had someone over their house in the past 987654 days. Should go off without a hitch.

Ahem...I beg to differ.

Do other people tend to switch over to the other board when they're dating someone? I just stick around here...it would be weird to go back and forth, and the other board seems to be focused on "courting" and engagement.

I never did. That forum is kinda dead and pretty much just questions and answers, and not really any fellowship.

OK the reality is not all women are stereo typed into your conditions, numerous of them are rather sloppy too.

But would you rather date someone who is not sloppy? To be sloppy or not is a choice. And people change and you may not like the changes, better be leaning on the side of what's better. It's something worth considering for the long term (marriage).

Another advice is about clumsiness. Making a lot of noise, shaking while moving around, instead of just gliding into action.

No one will dislike you for moving around like a whisper, with finesse (your boss might even like you better). But if you're clumsy, some people could see it as extremely annoying. Especially once you're sleeping together in the same bed, and your partner decides to get a glass of milk at 2am in the morning, clumsiness won't help here.

Nobody lives to be almost 3,000 years old, if you check the number you just posted there.

Chuck, you may as well have called all of us dateless dorks. lol

Lol. I was just being sarcastic. Some harmless sarcasm. I posted in this thread before that comment, so I was including myself too.

I thought the sarcasm was clear with the number of days I posted lol.

Think four bottles of wine will be enough? That's two each, which should be enough.

My facetiousness meter needs some fine-tuning.......... And I also am a bit inept at assessing how much alcohol other people can consume without it rendering them incapable of driving or giving truly informed consent.... All I know is that for me a glass of wine gets me to the buzzed stage. Definitely lowers inhibition enough to be more open to a little friskiness in the right context while still maintaining control. Two bottles of wine would literally put me into the hospital. I'd be mildly alarmed if a guy had that much wine specifically for one evening, especially if the relationship was still in its genesis. I'd be a little suspicious of his motives, and silently deliberating over whether they were benign and thoughtful, or self-serving. Perhaps there are women who can consume that much, and still be firmly holding the reigns to her actions, though. I honestly don't know. I do know that two people can drink the same amount and be impacted by it at substantially different levels. One of my friends recently lost her virginity on what was supposed to be a simple Netflix and chill night with a guy who drank less than she did, but he became much less drunk. She lost her grip on her decision-making. She intensely regrets it.

If things do progress to the point where the clean bed sheets are at all relevant, you want her to be sober enough to be cognizant of that sort of detail. You'd want to make love, not have drunken sex one or both of you will later regret. As far as practicals go, make sure you have plenty of food on hand to help balance out the alcohol. If you think that for whatever reason she might stay the night then having a clean shower (soap scum is unappealing), clean towels, a clean tee shirt she could wear, and good coffee for the morning would be nice touches.

I just want to stop by and say that no matter what we as Christians do not get jiggy wit it until we are married. We do not promote it or suggest it.

I feel its a mistake to have a date at your house. If it was me I know for a fact I would have her in bed within 30 minutes and that's if I am playing it cool and taking my time. We do not want sex in this situation so met somewhere where getting jiggy will not happen. If you can not afford a date outside of the home make sure your parents are there to chaperon you or at least make it a couples date.

Other than that call her baby and tell her you are hip to the whole scene often, chicks love guys who are hip to the whole scene.

Call her "baby" when even some women here are not okay with being called "chics"? lol
