• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

evening all,
I was up at the most insane hour this morning around 3 am and was up till 1 pm for my EEG which turned out fine and normal so that's good my Neurologist was pleased with it and said I can up my one med for headaches and see if the residual headaches can back off some what I have, but they have backed off majorly since I been on this med for 2months now.. He did ask if I can take Advil or alieve said nope not while on a blood thinner can increase a bleeding episode if I hurt myself or what not..He made a face n goes mm yeah that's true. so we're watching ti and keeping a journal on how I'm doing. Told him about my CI Surgery so he wants to get a call with my Audiologist about that and any questions regarding that so its alll a good step. I feel tired n my eyes hurt, they did the flashing lights test n ohh took my breath way when that happened, ugh! spite slept 3hrs this afternoon I want my bed lol.. So far this w eek has been good just need do few things once my energy comes up again normally other wise laying low n resting a while . Hope y'all are well ...

Well I move to Montana on Friday and will be visiting relatives first.

Instead of the alcoholism, I'm now worried about my cats. What if they get out? Things like that. I'm sure they'll be fine, but I'm a parent of two furchildren and the worst always comes to mind. I have yet to ask my uncle if they can stay in his house until my parents arrive, but have no idea how to ask so I'll ask mom tomorrow on how to ask. Hopefully he and his wife say yes.

That sounds great Jeshu. I have been having problems with my kidneys. I kinda worries me. I'm not the type of person who likes to go to hospitals. It took me years to decide I should go seek mental health treatment, then after I decided to do that it took many months just to finally get the nerve to go, and also to feel good enough to go, and then when I went I had an altercation with some person there that had a bad effect on me. THis all sounds like I'm complaining, and maybe it sounds silly too, but to me its a great burden that I find difficult to live with. I'm tired, very tired.

I'm sorry to hear life is hard on you at the moment brother, it be physically unwell does really amplify our mental unwellness as well.

I've had lots of problems with my kidneys as well. Last year I ended-up in hospital with a severe kidney infection and a kidney stone at the same time, it was touch and go at the time, and only very powerful anti-biotics got me well again.

I hope you will make sure that someone has a good look at your kidneys and that you don't ignore the problem because people can be so hard to get on with at times.

Said a prayer or you

m feeling encouraged and hopeful that things will improve more for me yet. This week I have been sleeping much better - between 5 1/2 and 7 hours a night and have been feeling much improved as a consequence. The 5-HTP and Sulfur I'm taking now is doing the job and stabilising me more every day.

I am glad you are feeling better. That is quite an encouraging list. My doctor started my on Cymbalta yesterday. With the Lord's help I hope it brings me out of this.

I apologize to everyone on here for causing some serious trouble. I pray that you all can forgive this immature-at-heart lady. In the meantime: I have news. I've learned to stop complaining, and it started with a personal challenge (you know, that 24 Hour quote about not complaining?), and it turned into a habit like this *snaps her fingers*. Today, I was about to complain, when the Holy Spirit (or was it me?) restrained my complaints. Thank You, God

All good things come from God Loyal so when you learn to do a good thing then that also comes from God. If we claim we did it in our own strength then we offend God and often turn out arrogant in such a part of our lives and loose/(kill) the good we gained. The truth is that you and Him in tandem worked the good you two did - an impossible sum 100 percent God's good in you and 100 percent you working with that good. This always adds up to at least 200 percent increase in good life - good economics or what? (This is how Jesus went through His whole life. In all things He had life in God's Spirit that is why He is One with God, that is why He is God and had the ability to save us from our sins.)

Don't be too hard on yourself though Loyal, it is hard to do good all the time, and it is even harder to do it flawlessly, so it is best that we eat humble pie - every day again - for that keeps Jesus great and our own efforts in Him safe - for Jesus though He is greatest is as humble as anything - He never thinks much off Himself so when we are like that then we have life in His Spirit - this is where we want to be all the time that's for sure.

Good to hear that His loving truth is at work within you. When we follow what Scriptures teaches then we find good pastures but when we follow other spirits, trying to lead us astray, then good life goes, though at first good life might seem to blossom, and bad life comes back again in its place - time and again. I found that when good life burns hotly then the devil has it in his ovens baking his daily bread from it and leaving us without anything good when he is finished with that part of our lives.

I hope you will learn more and more to heed God's Spirit and find green pastures Loyal, I do know that life with Him is good even when we go through a hard time - maybe even more then.

Be greatly encouraged.

God is good to me. I am working every day except for Sunday. So far, I am doing well. I also have another job possibility in the area to where I am moving. I feel blessed. This new job possibility is for editing and proofreading articles. I am hoping to obtain this job since I may be able to do translation at the same company. I am really grateful for the opportunities I am receiving. I am teaching now but the opportunities for teaching in the big city are extremely competitive. I don't know the reason for this since the salary is not high. I'd rather do translating and editing anyways. I am happy! The salary is not that good either but I need the experience to be able to apply to more competitive positions. This job received over 350 applications by the time I applied. Yet, I received a response. I thank God for this!! I have to submit an article they asked me to proofread though. I am going to work on it this week. I will pray about it and send it back to the company. I feel very grateful for this opportunity. God is looking after me. After I submit the article, I have to pack my stuff for moving. I am busy but feel good. Life has never been this good!!

Oh, oh! I feel stupid now. I told one of my classes that chickenpox comes from a chicken virus. Oh no!!

It actually comes from a rash that looks as if it were pecked by chickens.

Oh boy! I may have to leave a note in the folder for this class. I should not worry about it but don't want them to quote me on this.

Lately I'm starting to think that it's God's will for me to be alone. Why else would I be born with a social handicap, put in a small, transient town with little chance to meet people and put me in a time where everyone would rather be on their cell phones and internet?

In my isolation I have worked to earn reward in Heaven. Collected thousands of dollars in cans and bottles for charity, collected nearly 31,000,000 grains of rice on FreeRice.com (enough to feed 1550 people for a whole day) and learn about His word in the field of Bible Prophecy. Will all this be worth it once we're called out of here?

We shall see.
