I didn't know she left, bummer

Yup, she met some guy and ran away into the sunset. I'm pleased for her, but I still miss my little mate. She was proper down with my humour as well. She always got it.

(Just so we're clear, I mean the British term for mate. I know it means something very different in the US. Ha ha!)

If CF Singles was a post apocalyptic world where people who get married disappear and leave the single people behind? O.O

hahaha, that's why I picked this theme "left behind" it is even more dramatic than the truck drivers disappearing in mid-drive, or the surgeons disappearing in mid-operation. It's the poor souls left behind on CF Singles OH NOES!!!:p

I tend to think of "mate" in British terms anyway.

On the singles forum, some singles eventually meet someone(get married) and leave the singles forum. Are you afraid of being Left Behind?
No, given my having Been-There-Done-That already.

As it is, whenever I hear of someone getting married, I'm
torn as to whether to offer congratulations or condolences. :D

Not that marriage was all that bad in my case; I was quite
content with it for a long time. But, being single, by contrast,
seems to suit my personality better.

It doesn't bother me, I'm happy for those who find someone on here and get married, or those who find someone in their daily life who end up getting married.

I'll get my chance at being married at some point. I have faith and hope that it'll happen... eventually. :p I've been close to it happening a time or two, so I know it's possible. lol

It will, so enjoy being single while it lasts. Because there's no going back once you've put the ring on. (No, you lot don't think about that part do you? Nooo.)

I think about that part, and I do enjoy being single, and I want being married to come naturally and God driven - not forced or move to fast kind of situation. I don't think a lot of people think about that part, they want to be married SO much and then it happens and then they're still not happy because they miss some kind of freedom they had before. So I agree, enjoy being single, because even if you're just dying to get married, it's a commitment you shouldn't take lightly.

Completely agree. I am enjoying the parts of my singleness that I know I can't get back once I'm married. Of course there are still things you can do in marriage that you do as a single person now, but some things you can't. Enjoy those while you still have them. Once I am married there will be no talk of divorce.

It's just the random thought patterns and the off the wall threads. They're sheer brilliance and very similar.

Not me. Even if I WAS married I'd most likely never declare it anyway. It's none of anyone's business and I like posting here.

Do they allowed that here? I mean we are Christians and we shouldn't lie. But it tactically isn't lying if we never declare our marriage. :p

And nope I am not married yet.

I really do get what you're saying :) I understand completely.

I would totally post there if I was married because you never know who you might reach (God working through you, of course) and those who do read it with understanding might never post, but have helped that person. Know what I mean?

I was there and, even as a single person, tried to give some advises. But as it is I just don't feel I am making any impact.

What I often see is that a person on the verge of divorce post his/her point of view on the problems. And often the case the blame game was played so as it was described that person did absolutely nothing wrong. And as such there is nothing that person can do. And then he/she ask for advice on how to fix his/her marriage.

So they are on the verge of divorce, they did nothing wrong and there is nothing they can do. So then why are they even on there to ask for advice?

It would have helped if they ask for opinions earlier. And if they realize their own faults in their relationships earlier. And they actively make the adjustments needed to grow together with their spouse.

Maybe it's a sick way of getting into another dating pool. Made up of the same type of similar posters who did absolutely no wrong, and there's nothing they can do; OH BUT WAIT! (lightbulb) they meet a person in a similar situation that is of the opposite sex.

That's really unfortunate.... :(
