10 hours is better. (literally, in every way).
Continually. Pray without ceasing.

31 Jesus answered them, “Do you now [at last] believe? 32 Take careful notice: an hour is coming, and has arrived, when you will all be scattered, each to his own home, leaving Me alone; and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me. 33 I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace. In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world.” [My conquest is accomplished, My victory abiding.]
---------------------------------------------
23 In that day you will not [need to] ask Me about anything. I assure you and most solemnly say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name [as My representative], He will give you. 24 Until now you have not asked [the Father] for anything in My name; but now ask and keep on asking and you will receive, so that your joy may be full and
complete.

Jesus’ Warning

16 “I have told you these things so that you will not stumble or be caught off guard and fall away. 2 They will put you out of the synagogues and make you outcasts. And a time is coming when whoever kills you will think that he is offering service to God. 3 And they will do these things because they have not known the Father or Me. 4 I have told you these things [now], so that when their time comes, you will remember that I told you about them. I did not say these things to you at the beginning, because I was with you.

Maybe you ought to explain what you mean because this baby Christian you are talking to is now trying to figure out how to be on her hands and knees with her hands folded for 10 hours a day and still make enough money to keep the electricity on....and probably is discouraged instead of encouraged.

There are people who spend alot of hours praying like monks but I think it is best to spend alot of hours doing what Jesus Christ did (he learned people) ofcourse he prayed too but most of his time was about helping people. God bless you for taking time to explain

I would say never try to emulate a m*nk - I don't believe their testimony is of Jesus, and from whatever I've learned about m*nks, they do not belong to Jesus as a group. (individuals might).

Pray constantly is from Scripture. Pray without ceasing. Pray about everything.
As some have said "Let our lives be lives of prayer" (all day , all night, no matter what we are doing). Constant prayer (as Jesus shows us how (man cannot show us how, usually) )
IT is possible.
IT is DOable. (you can do this) Just as Jesus to show you how. He will. He told His disciples and showed them how to pray.

Not just constantly. Also take several times away every day to be with the Father alone.
Jesus said to His disciples "gradually, your focus will change from yourself to Him". (i.e. it takes weeks, months, even years, to learn from Him how to live and how to pray, simply as the disciples did/do).

Besides, the only 'help' we can be to anyone, is if we do what the Father says to do. All the time. And say what He tells us to say. (ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS in line and in perfect HARMONY with ALL of HIS WORD). (a lifetime to learn, every day).

Okay...this is how I "pray continuously"...I keep a running conversation in my head with God. Some people probably would accuse me of "talking to myself" but honestly, the "conversations" don't always go the way I want them too (cue one that it isn't me talking to myself") and other times I don't get any answers (cue two, because I ALWAYS answer myself). Yes, I also talk to myself and there is a distinction but it is hard to explain. I often talk to myself and God at the same time. Probably my best prayer time is while I am driving and when I am in bed (both evenings and mornings).

Yes, prayer continually doesn't mean we always have to be on our knees (though there is nothing wrong with doing that and/or being alone for a certain amount of time to pray and be in the presence of God). Sometimes you take some time aside and pray and then go on with your day and things pop in your head, a situation or person, and you can pray for that situation or person when it does. I think it also, like what black ribbon said, it is a continuous conversation with God, and I also think that it is meditating on scripture and even praying scripture depending on what you are praying for, like praying for self-control, encouragement, comfort, peace, etc. there are scriptures that we can say in our minds or out loud that can help us and remind us what God would want us to do in certain situations etc. :)
