Hopefully the violence on both sides can be stopped as each act escalates the other side. To quote the Untouchables:
"They pull a knife, you pull a gun. He sends one of yours to the hospital, you send one of his to the morgue."

And so we have a situation of escalating violence, with the leaders on both sides happy to let it continue. 150+ stabbings on Jewish civilians with 40 dead, for example, leads to a crackdown on Palestinians which leads to more attacks which leads to more crackdowns. And once side is far more powerful, so it's just a bad situation.

Agreed LoAmmi. As you know, I am opposed to the knife attacks on Israelis as well as attacks against Palestinians, and have always spoken out against violence especially when it targets civilians, and always will continue to.
I believe that the recent Palestinian violence against Israelis is caused by the oppressive mistreatment of Palestinians, which I see everyday when I am here and when I have been here during the past several years. It doesn't make it ok though, and I have spoken to some Palestinians who have condemned these attacks without me even bringing them up.
There needs to be a just solution, whether it is a just two state or three state or one state or I don't know, where every Palestinian and Israeli live in equality and freedom and safety from violence.
