Other movie thread got me thinking of this. I don't mean on purpose because you think you'd hate it ;) But for whatever reason just haven't yet. A few of mine:

From Here to Eternity
The Longest Day
Ferris Beuller's Day Off
The Sting
Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
Ben Hur
Spartacus
Marty
Citizen Kane

I can't disagree with anything in your list. Marty and Citizen Kane top that list for me though.

I haven't seen any of those. I REFUSE to see Ferris Bueller Day Off out of sheer protest that I still carry to this day. Funny story: My maiden name is Faris (ahem, no Arabic ancestry. Nothing wrong with being Arabic. I just don't want assumptions to start. It's Irish/Scottish.) Even though that movie came out when I was in elementary school, I was teased all the way through high school. As soon as someone learned my last name, it was on! Even teachers and faculty got in on it. Every time I missed school when I was sick or had to leave school for an orthodontist appointment (I had braces, and you have appointments every month), it was always, "Faris had to have the day off, eh?"

Yes, I'm an adult now, and I have forgiven everyone since it was good natured teasing. It's just because of the teasing that I still have no interest in seeing the movie.

Marty? Never heard of it. I only recently saw Citizen Kane.
"Great" movies I've never seen:
Schindler's List. No desire to see it.
Chinatown
Amadeus
Network
Everything else I consider worth seeing, I've seen at least once.

Marty has some heavy references to Catholicism. Ernest Borgnine is in it.

I've seen all of these except the middle one, which I've never heard of. The others were outstanding except for High Noon which was kinda weak IMO, even taking into consideration the timeframe. Cooper had a great stage presence but he really couldn't act very well.
