If 1.2 million+ people PER YEAR have been through that zoo and there has not been an incident like this before, the idea that you can have such conviction in blaming the zoo, when that parent (who [presumably] knows what kind of child she has) did not have her eyes on her kid when she was within 60 yards of one of the most deadly animals on the planet, I have to ask:What about the ZOO? They have a HUGE responsibility! If a 4 year old could get over and into the cage something is WRONF! The responsibility of the ZOO is to make sure children are safe! Clearly the ZOO FAILED to adequately provide proper and reasonable secure protection for small children climbing into this cage! The ZOO FAILED to protect the Gorilla from a child entering the cage! When constructing a cage EVERY where a there is an opportunity for intrusion must be elimated, before construction even begins. The ZOO FAILED!
When exactly IS a parent negligent?
For the record, if that gorilla has been at that zoo for 4 years, the zoo's enclosure failure rate is approximately %.000002.
Seriously...how can you focus on the zoo? Everyone LOVES to blame organizations, institutions, and other large entities for failures but we gotta buck up and realize that it is sometimes our own ineptitude, ignorance, failures, and prejudices that lead us to be in terrible situations.
