My family and I were in a German church last night which provides regular get togethers with refugees from most of the Middle East and Eritrea. We played games with the refugees and got to hear their stories. They are deeply afraid of the situations that they have left behind and genuinely appreciative of the freedoms and the peace that they experience in Germany. I had opportunities to share the gospel with people from Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran and Syria who up until a few months ago would have been unreachable to Christians. There were probably some bad eggs in the hundred or so there last night but most were on a journey from oppression and fear to freedom and peace. The Mayors comments are stupid because now is not the time to build walls but rather to tear them down. The task is to integrate these people, help them improve their German and to talk through the cultural issues that might prevent them getting on in this society. The haters are the problem now.

Europe will be very unstable we had daily 5000-1000 passing on the way to Germany and other countries and some looked liked organized military groups of 3-5 people. But when you have 50 policmen to guard group of 5000+ every day it is hard to get the best results. I belive that maybe 2-5% of last refugge wave where sent on a mission. But that is my guess.

So we should ignore the crime and negative repercussions of mass migration so we don't risk hurting their feelings? What about the women who are raped by these migrants? Should we ignore them so we don't risk alienating the rapists? According to you we should be vilifying the so-called 'haters' rather than going after the extremists among the migrants.

I give you credit for reaching out to them but I find very objectionable you branding those who care about their country and the effects of migration as 'haters'. I thought that kind of intolerance didn't have a place in modern Europe.

I never said we should ignore crime or indeed the potential terrorist threats. But I do think compassion is a better default position than total exclusion and more likely to help with integration before negative radicalisation occurs.

Zombie thread revival aside now that it's done, do you think the media will report such as this when it starts to happen in America?
Highly unlikely. Our current muslim in chief knows what he's doing. We're being invaded at tax payer expense. Meanwhile, he'll retire from office to a mansion in the D.C area walking distance from a mosque. Not a church, a mosque.

Obama told our enemies a muslim would enter the office should he be elected as he was running his campaign and in an interview in 2007 when he recited the azan, or the islamic call to prayer. What he said was the prettiest sound he ever heard.
In an interview he even recalled attending classes where he and all other boys in the school in Jakarta studied the koran.

Here he quotes from muhammad's hadith during a prayer breakfast once he was elected.

And when he retires from the White house no doubt he'll write another book where he calls all those who will deny he is a muslim fools. Because he'll admit to it.

No, I don't think the media will report when this type thing happens in America. We're being programmed to avoid the truth and adopt political correctness instead.

He also quoted the bible, the torah and referred buddhists, hindus, confucianists and humanists. He was referring to all these different beliefs to show what unites them all (the golden rule), and you use it to divide and to slander. Good job.

Speaking of slander. And it's rather pathetic that you give me accolades after charging me with a lie.

That you are unable to respect the faithful by capitalizing their faiths is noted.

We must have a different kind of refugees in my city.
I'm wondering about this, too. There are two Germans in this thread and one is ok with refugees and the other isn't. Which part of Germany are you from and where is PatrickRT from?
