So, some updates on Finny. He only had one little fever this morning. His oxygen has been ok! Still low, but ok. He hasn't thrown up and his diarrhea is getting better. He doesn't cough during the day but still sounds like a motor boat at night. He sleeps a lot during the day.
Concerns: it is very evident that whatever is happening in his left eye (which looks so much better by the way!) has clearly migrated to his right eye. The eye is totally blood shot and beginning to bruise around it. Tears are also beginning to form. He also can't stop holding his ears. Ear infection, you say!? Well, the kid has been POUNDED with the strongest antibiotics on the planet SO.... pretty unlikely. I honestly think he is having headaches and blurred vision now that both eyes are effected. Just mom instinct.
He is going to the pediatrician at 8:30am tomorrow. Kudos to Finn's pediatrician bc lord knows this kid is complex!
I also have to do a TON of errands tomorrow since we have been cooped up in the house for a few days!
If this other eye gets as bad as the first one before the first one heals, it's going to be rough. I don't know how Finn will see?? Guess we will find out tomorrow!!!
Sweet dreams!
The boys slept the best they have all week! Mason had no cough and slept like a rock and Finn didn't sound like a motorboat until about a few minutes ago, hence why I am up Finn did not cry all night or have a fever. I can't see how his eyes look because it's still dark and everyone is asleep but the boys should get up in the next hour or so.
Finn's eye isn't 100% better yet, but getting there. But he and Mason, and Kelly, are feeling better now. And they're off to the beach today!
On a sad though completely unrelated note, I'd like to ask prayers of peace for a friend of mine and her family; her brother had a heart attack 10 days ago and passed away this morning. He was only 25, and before this, in excellent health. We're all completely shocked.

They returned from the beach yesterday (might have been Sunday... days are running together for me lately). Now they're just unpacking and prepping for Finn's MRI on Friday. And trying to find a replacement for the in-home nurse Finn's had since... forever. Yesterday was her last day; now she's going back to school to become a midwife.
Praying they have a smooth week this week, including MRI day, considering Finn's past issues with anesthetic.

Awww....how sweetFinn got fitted for his first pair of shoes yesterday! Hurrah for physical therapy progress!
Everyone's day will start very very early tomorrow, as it's two hours from their house to the hospital, and Finn is first up! It'll take an hour I think Kelly said to sedate him, and then the MRI will last several hours, as they want to be very thorough, a one-and-done kind of thing.
I was able to be with Finn while he was sedated. It took three people and myself to hold him down just to give him the gas. He fought HARD, really hard. The anesthesiologist told me that he was so happy to see him fight because he said that's how Finn has been able to get through everything that he has; because he fights EVERYTHING. It's hard to watch him not want to do something but it brought me so much peace seeing his amazing UVA team sing The Wheels on the Bus and comfort him while he finally fell asleep. The last thing he saw was his Mommy and lamby before he laid his head down.
UVA, I may have given birth to him, but YOU gave him life. Thank you for that.
Now, we wait.
