I always struggle with consistently seeking God first, especially during times of blessing and peace. God has blessed me tremendously throughout my life and I am thankful for all He has done, yet I always get distracted by the pursuits of this world. I read at least a verse a day and do my devotional and pray yet througout the day I'm constantly distracted. My walk with Christ is always stronger when I am going through struggles and failure rather than success. How can I better keep my eyes on Christ during times of blessing?

Understand what you're saying and find playing worship music helpful. For times when it's not possible, keep the tune in my mind. By worship music, I'm referring to lyrics that aren't about us but they're primarily about Yahweh.

* In the Bible, Daniel stayed focused
on God by purposing to honor God no matter what...
set this as your first priority.

Daniel started his day with God...he also prayed three times
a day no matter what...not even the king's decree would
keep Daniel from honoring God above all other things or
people...even if it cost him his life.
