I would totally understand it if a Republican wanted to disown Trump and align him with the Democratic Party. The idea that Trump is actually leading the GOP field in the run for the White House must be abhorrent to many in the part.

Though the individual who was attacked was then taken to the ground by law enforcement officials, the man who threw the punch does not appear to have been detained.
That does not mean Trump supporters, even the most thinned-skinned, support the violence at his rallies. But Trump and the other GOP contenders apparently don't see violence as a problem.
Then he (Cruz) criticized Trump -- not for the violence, but for asking people at his rallies to raise their hands and promise to vote. Kasich said he worried "about rally violence, period," but didn't blame Trump, instead suggesting (like Cruz) that the violence happened because people are angry.
***Now cue the Obama/union thug/Benghazi/Black Lives Matter/Black Panther/Rodney King/John Brown Harper's Ferry derailing attempts.

You can see her stumble to her left at 00:25-00:26 and then the campaign manager steps in front of where she would've been if she hadn't stumbled.

In the opinion of some they have been strong supporters of Trump (I haven't paid enough attention to know if they are but Megyn Kelly said they are). It will be interesting to see if they throw somebody under the bus, or attempt to maneuver out of the fray.

Yeah, I'm puzzled how Trump can deny the assault happened ... after his campaign manager already admitted to it ... and the assault is consistent with audio and video evidence.
