You feel unwell, you pray, confess the Word and believe. But you still feel unwell, so you pray again and believe that you are healed and confess that. But you are still in pain. Is it simply that your faith isn't strong enough yet and you have to continue to pray and confess the Word?

In other words, how long can healing take and how do you train your mind so it doesn't doubt when the pain remains? Thanks!

That depends on (what, and If) you are believing. Real faith believing is looking beyond any symptoms that may still be there. Twice in your post you were looking at your symptoms (after)... you say you prayed, confessed, and believed. If it may require some medicine of a type of pain killer or whatever, take it. Most medicines relieve symptoms only but not the cause. This doesn't change your faith for believing in God for your healing.

This is yet another example of (walking and living) by faith which is "seeing into the spiritual realm and simply believing (nothing doubting) what we see in the spiritual world manifest in the physical world. All of the things that I see with my physical eyes NOW, I have already seen in my spirit first. I seen it on the inside "before" I saw it on the outside.

We must feed and feed upon God's Word to renew our minds (Romans 12:2); then our faith comes by hearing (Romans 10:17)... and then exercise faith by our actions of believing, speaking, trusting and resting in Him for whatever we need regardless of what we see or feel. "I believe I receive when I pray" (Mark 11:24).

So... living by faith is all of this and more... and is a wonderful way to live. This should be the normal Christian life. "Walking by faith and not by sight." (2 Corinthians 5:7). Hope this helps... Busy.gif

Thank you. I am believing and standing on the Word. It was just more about how do I know my Faith is working if I still have pain, but after posting this yesterday, I saw a great video by Gloria Copeland which explained everything. Thanks again for your post and the Scriptures. :)

A little extra...

We must feed and feed upon God's Word to renew our minds (Romans 12:2); then... our "faith comes by hearing and hearing by the WORD" that... we are feeding on. (Romans 10:17)... and then exercise faith by our actions of believing, speaking, trusting and resting in Him for whatever we need. Only believe...regardless of what we see or feel. "I believe I receive when I pray" (Mark 11:24). We are to..."Walk by faith and not by sight." (2 Corinthians 5:7).

Be patient and... "Enter into His Rest." (Hebrews 4:10-11) busy[1].gif

The Word of God is pure truth.
When the Word says we 'are' (Isa 53:4-5) and 'were' (1 Pet 2:24) healed ..., it is a settled issue. If it means you have to believe you are healed for 10 or even 20 years if needed and you have to stand on the Word with no wavering whatever. The Word will dominate the symptom in you body unless you cave and start agreeing with the symptom. You have to put yourself in absolute denial of the power of the devil to cause you any grief or harm. When you do this little, then you can truthfully confess that you are absolutely healed and its just a matter of time to realize your healing manifestation. We know that God will perform His Word on your behalf every single time. We know that God is not a liar and he placed His Word even above His name. The length of time you have to wait cannot be a consideration as the timing of everything is strictly God's domain.
There is more but these ideas are basic.

I started a thread in General theology. You must forgive my criticisms of WOF preachers that are in this thread, perhaps i could have left that part out, but i'm not perfect, im just searching for my way through faith love and hope, same as everyone, and i have found WOF frustrating, so forgive my criticism if you will, and please look at my thread and see what i believe. I cant share it here because we are not allowed to openly discuss these things here. Its entitled "by his stripes we are healed."

I agree with my Brothers who have commented, we walk by faith not by sight,we believe God's Word ,we pray God's word for our confessional.
Sometimes we must turn loose the power of God for our healing, our mind will bind our deliverance, what is bound on earth is bound in Heaven.
The only way to turn loose God's blessing is in our Spirit we believe.
Our Spirit must interact with Christ,we must pray in the Spirit and our Spirit will have victory over our flesh the mind.

You can confess till you die but unless you believe in the Spirit ,your mind will always have doubt imputed by satan sometimes or simply by our own stubbornness.
Who and what we are in God's kingdom is a Spirit ,man is created in the image of God and God is a Spirit.

John: 4. 23. But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. 24. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. 25. The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things. 26. Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.

Praise God the Messiah has come!!!

I would like to share scripture, if i may. Ask yourself what the "power of Christ" is, in this context. What does it mean to follow in Christs footsteps as well? Christ was resurrected and ascended to heaven, that's the key.

Romans 8:10 And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

16 The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, 17 and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.

20 For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of Him who subjected it in hope; 21 because the creation itself also will be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. 22 For we know that the whole creation groans and labors with birth pangs together until now. 23 Not only that, but we also who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, eagerly waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body. 24 For we were saved in this hope, but hope that is seen is not hope; for why does one still hope for what he sees? 25 But if we hope for what we do not see, we eagerly wait for it with perseverance.

1 Coritians 15:39 All flesh is not the same flesh, but there is one kind of flesh[c] of men, another flesh of animals, another of fish, and another of birds.

40 There are also celestial bodies and terrestrial bodies; but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another. 41 There is one glory of the sun, another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for one star differs from another star in glory.

42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption. 43 It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power. 44 It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. 45 And so it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being.”[d] The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.

53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. 54 So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”[g]

55 “O Death, where is your sting?[h]
O Hades, where is your victory?”

Faith is not what we do but just knowing & accepting what all He has done for us on the cross. Faith is a gift by our Lord who is the "beginner of our faith" (Heb 12: 2). Our Lord produces faith ("the faith that comes through him" - Acts 3: 16). We just accept it so we experience it. Without first accepting it and instead trying to produce faith, faith (or confidence on the Lord) cannot be experienced.
